I entered my room and forcefully pushed the door shut, wanting it to experience the same frustration I was feeling.
As I walked into the classroom, everyone's gaze was fixed upon me, but no one dared to utter a word. The elderly teacher at the front of the room simply shook his head, accustomed to my behavior. I took a seat in the back row and slammed my belongings onto the table. I glanced over at Harry, the one who had reminded me of forgetting the first day of school. He nodded in response, and I leaned back in my chair, closing my eyes. I paid little attention to the impending chaos that was about to unfold.
"Alright, as I was saying earlier, we have a new student. We would like Miss Ross to please introduce herself at the front."
"So, we have a newbie," I muttered under my breath, tapping my fountain pen slowly on the table. But I stopped abruptly as a girl entered the room wearing a simple white loose shirt, ripped jeans, and a pair of sneakers. Her head was lowered, facing the floor.
"She seems familiar," I thought to myself.
I tried to recall where I had seen those clothes and shoes before. There was a sense of familiarity, but my head was throbbing, and my face still tingled from the earlier punch.
"Ah, it's her-"
"Good day! I'm Ellise Ross, 17. You can call me-"
Before she could finish her sentence, I grabbed her hand and dragged her outside.
"Hey! What's your problem? Are you out of your mind? Let me go!"
She struggled to free her hand from my grip, but my hold was too firm to break.
"Please, just let me go. If you have issues with new students, we can settle this later. I need to attend my class! I haven't even finished introducing myself!"
"If you don't release my hand, I'm going to shout!"
I paused for a moment and looked at her. She had beautiful deep green eyes and long lashes. Her nose was perfectly shaped, and her lips--
"Are you done staring at me? I know I'm beautiful and gorgeous, but you don't have to do this. It's so obvious. I might start believing that you're in love with me. What do they call it? Love at first sight?"
"What the hell are you talking about?"
I growled at her, catching her off guard. I could see a hint of fear flicker in the corner of her eyes, and I immediately regretted my actions.
"s**t. What am I feeling?"
I locked eyes with her, making her realize that she had created her own nightmare on her very first day. And...
"I'm not impressed."
My anger began to boil as she nonchalantly dismissed my interest. She had stepped on my ego, and this woman was inviting trouble for herself.
I released her hands and forcefully pinned her against the wall, completely shocking her. However, she managed to remain composed despite the tense situation.
"Take your hands off me. You're hurting me," she commanded with authority. Even in this intense moment, she remained calm and unmoved.
"You really have no idea about any of this, do you?"
I leaned closer to her, a mocking smile forming on my lips. If she wanted a fair play, then I would give her one. But I would make sure to come out on top.
"Then, let me remind you of the details," I continued, noticing her growing unease. We were too close for comfort, and if she attempted another counterattack, our bodies would collide, possibly resulting in an unintended kiss.
"You can voice your concerns, but please keep your distance. Do you really want to be that close to me?" I sneered.
Did this woman take a confidence pill, if such a thing existed? She was completely infatuated with herself. I couldn't stand still in front of her, unable to even threaten her properly. How could I make her pay?
"You! Woman, how dare you speak to me like that. You have no idea who you're dealing with. Get down on your knees and beg for mercy from the heavens to spare your life."
"I already have," she replied flatly. Was my presence really that insignificant to her? How could she maintain such composure and act so cool? Damn this woman!
"You really enjoy teasing me. Well, let's see whose legs will tremble," I hissed, showing my own bucket of confidence. I analyzed the minimal distance between our bodies. She suddenly panicked, which fueled my aggression. I looked into her eyes, then her nose, and paused briefly at her lips.
Don't you dare," she warned, her voice filled with a mix of caution and determination.
But I couldn't resist the temptation. Ignoring her warning, I leaned in even closer, my lips dangerously close to hers. A mischievous smile played on my face as I reveled in the power I believed I had over her.
She continued to resist, pushing against me with all her might, but I remained unyielding. I was determined to break her spirit, to make her regret ever crossing paths with me.
Suddenly, she ceased her struggles and her expression shifted. A sly grin spread across her face, catching me off guard. But before I could react, she aimed a brutal blow at my precious adulthood with her knee.
" Ahh!" I cried out in pain as her knee connected with a brutal blow to my groin. The agony shot through my body, overwhelming me with a searing sensation. I doubled over, clutching myself in sheer agony.
She took advantage of my vulnerability, swiftly moving away from me. I watched, gasping for breath, as she disappeared into the distance. The pain radiating from my groin was excruciating, leaving me humiliated and defeated.
I slowly straightened myself, feeling the weight of my wounded pride. How had I let this happen? I, Lawrence Keith Mores, had been outsmarted and outmatched by a girl who seemed to possess a strength and confidence beyond her years.
Anger surged within me, fueled by the embarrassment of my defeat. I vowed to myself that I would not let this go unpunished. I would find her, confront her, and make her regret ever crossing paths with me.
But for now, I need to tend to my pain and regain my composure. I limped away, nursing my wounded ego, knowing that the battle was far from over. Lawrence Keith Mores would not be defeated so easily.
I fell to my knees, enduring the excruciating pain. She had struck harder than I had anticipated, causing me even more suffering. I feared I might not be able to father any future children because of what she did. She intensified her attack. Now, I needed to consider two or more ways to exact revenge on her. After a minute of trembling in pain, I struggled to stand up, finding it difficult to walk straight. I scanned the area, but her shadow was nowhere to be found. She had vanished in a flash. For the second time, I had lost. I couldn't accept it. She was just a girl, a weak and overconfident human being. She had no connection to me, not to Lawrence Keith Mores.
