gazed between my parents, who were incredibly devoted to one another; it made me feel something. They never wavered in their support of one another, even after everything they had ever experienced. A mate bond is the strongest kind of camaraderie, according to my father. He has demonstrated this time and time again by pursuing my mother even when she retreated. He never gave up. I was so impressed by his absolute devotion for her. More than anything, that was what I wanted. But I thought that would be impossible without a wolf. My mother smiled lovingly and added, "Winifred Bean, guests will be arriving soon." I took one last look at myself in the mirror; I was wearing a silky black and pink dress that fell evenly down to my knees. My father had already gone out to welcome a few of the Alphas who had shown there. My mother was standing behind me, looking at me adoringly and shedding a few tears. She sighed, putting her arms around me and giving me a firm hug. I am very proud of you, you know. We had a lot of similarities; I had her fair features and brown hair. Above all, I possessed her Volana eyes. One was blue, the other lavender. She let go of me and put her arm in mine, pulling me to my bedroom door. I could hear the people swarming into the packhouse foyer immediately." "Oh, I see now that I should have mentioned. I told her, 'I invited my professor too. She took a brief break and gave me a quick look. ". In actuality, he is the Calypso Pack's Alpha. Buzor! Alpha Buzor jo, your professor? she asked, raising her eyebrows. She asked, sounding astonished rather than angry. "Do you know him well?" "Never took him as the kind to be a professor." Peering up at her, I questioned.l She paused to consider before responding. "As best as I guess I can. He is the son of Blaise, the former Calypso Pack Alpha. Winifred's POV After glancing at my face, my mother burst out laughing. "What is the reason behind your ghostly appearance?" She enquired. "Is Buzor the son of Blaise?" I was astonished, totally shocked, when I inquired. "I did not know he had children." Mom gave a nod. She clarified, "I do not think Buzor was ever close to his father. "I think he resided in a different pack with his mother. After his father passed away, he returned to Calypso. being the only surviving relative of Blaise, etc. "I would not have welcomed him if I had known he was Blaise's son." I apologise so much. "I apologise. Why do you apologise? I am happy you asked him. Your dad is going to be happy. Kind of likes Buzor. said he carries himself with a nice head. He really is not like his father at all." "So we believe in him?" I raised an eyebrow in question. We can not hold Buzor accountable for everything his father did, Lilia Bean. Nobody should be more aware of that than you." She gave me a sly smile while glancing at my worried expression. She touched my shoulder and I looked into her eyes. She stated to Gehly, "I swear, if there is anything you need to worry about, I tiltell you." However, as of right now, neither a villain nor an Buzort exist. Those times are in the past.It comforted me to know she was not worried. I had the utmost faith in my mother. "Well, when will you be telling me about Presley?" As we left the apartment, my mother inquired. Then I stopped and asked the herd, "How did you find out about that?" T queried. As she stared at me, one of her eyebrows shot straight up. She responds, "You can not hide things from me; I am your mother." She always seemed to know when something was wrong, so I wanted to laugh. "Is dad aware about this?" I enquired. "Are you against him knowing?" I tell her, "It is only that I do not want to make the Alpha committee feel uncomfortable." "Since Presley's father belongs to... "Your father is a highly competent individual. She responded, "He would allow something like that to get in the way of his work. However, if you do not want me to, I will not say anything. That means we will not be hosting Presley tonight, I assume." It was not a query. I turned aside and made my way downstairs to welcome the newcomers. That was not shocking who I saw first. Brianna. My closest pal. She about knocked me off my feet as she raced to me and put her arms around me. Her delight made me laugh. "Oh Winifred, my goddess!" She turned me around with a happy coo. "You look amazing! What is your emotional state? Do you sense one? Shaking my head, I sighed. I tell her, "I feel the same as I always have." "I had hoped that today would bring my wolf."N With a big smile, Strre reassured me, "You still mnight." "The day is not yet over, but you will eventually find your wolf, and when you do, it will be amazing!"W Since obtaining her wolf a few months ago, Brianna has not stopped talking about it. She compares it to having an actual best friend who is well-versed in all aspects of your life. She hesitated then, seeing my expression, and said, "no offence. You know, it is just different."N I told her that I understood what she meant and that I did not take offence at all. My mother informed me about a period when she believed she had permanently lost her wolf. It felt as if she had lost a piece of herself. She felt so alone, and her thoughts was so silent. She said, "Your father helped me feel less alone." I needed someone to make me feel less alone even if I did not have a wolf, and it was precisely the kind of love I was looking for. However, I was also really eager to meet my wolf. I pondered how she might appear. How she would sound. I pondered the name she would choose. Before long, my loved ones crowded inside the packhouse, and my mum brought out a massive cake. It was my all-time favourite flavor—red velvet with chocolate icing. As everyone began singing "Happy Birthday," I started to cry. I momentarily lost all memory of Presley's treachery. I totally forgot about my disastrous first kiss. up till he entered. Initially, it was only the overpowering smell of marshmallows, but then I noticed him standing at our packhouse's door. He wore dress slacks and a dark button-down jacket. Even though his hair was still unruly, he did not seem to be perspiring. My father and a few other Alphas greeted him. My father had spoken something to him that I was unable to hear as I saw the two shake hands. My mother immediately came to my side and stated, "Buzor looks really well tonight," standing next to me. "Yes, he has betrayed her."I honestly did not think he would come. "Your Alpha Bastien's daughter, of course, he will come when invited," I said to myself. Nearly every Alpha is present.N My face got warm thinking about the kiss we had shared a few days prior. However, I later realised that Buzor was Blaise's son. I doubt that he was aware of the events between his father and mine; I am not even sure if Buzor was aware that I was a Volana wolf. Since we are not so common, most people are unaware of our appearance at first. If that would even matter to him, I pondered. I have always had a very clear vision of what real love looks like. I have always seen sincere love between my parents and myself. I desired a partner who shared my passion and affection for me. Someone would go above and above for me. Someone I would kill to protect me. However, I do not see Buzor as that person. I could not even tell why. To be honest, I never really thought of Presley as that type either. While the Alphas persisted in their conversation with him, Buzor glanced around the room. He appeared to be searching for something. It was as though he had discovered it the moment his gaze touched mine. His eyes barely became darker. I smiled politely at him, hoping my expression would hide my innermost feelings. Though his demeanour remained expressionless, he finally averted his gaze from me to address the other Alphas. How daring of that person. It was my birthday, and he was unable to even stop over to say hello?
