One Way Entrance to his Chambers
He always watched her from behind everything. Julianne struggled to breathe calmly inside the spacious lounge, normally an office for a billionaire conglomerate owner. Her plush seat didn't help her to sit comfortably, nor did the cool wind of the air conditioning unit frayed the rate of her erratic heartbeat. How can they expect her to be so relaxed in front of one of the strictest yet most renowned doctors of the advanced 21st century as he scans her profile with unreadable emotions? She isn't a pretend money-scheming psychic to do predictions nor a daughter of Nostradamus. The 19-year old's slender fingers itched to fiddle with the hem of her pink midi skirt, but growing up in nobility and professionalism taught her otherwise to do so. She wondered if the clothes she wore are too classy, too modest, too fancy for his American taste as what her older peers in Harvards would constantly berate her back then — unfortunately, until now though it lessened. It was a habit that she slowly mended through experience and restless online browsing, and with little time left before her interview to this prestigious medical university, she hoisted a knitted black turtleneck with a pink overthrow, pink wrap midi skirt, and white ribbon wedges. She was sure Dr. Luciel Diamendes would comment on her resume about her wayward clothing. Yet he is Luciel Diamendes, a man travelling around the world donating charity for the poor and world-crazed pharmaceuticals under his name. Breakthrough scientific discoveries also help. She rarely sees him frown even in close-up tabloids and paparazzi in comparison to his other brothers. In other words, she ignored several pending and expired offers from other hospitals and medical universities just to try out her luck in his vicinity. Graduating at the young age of 19 as a top junior biology student, so many wanted a prized possession of her legacy. But she strives for a higher and better quality of education, and better pay for her doubling student loans. Her breath hitched as he hummed and settled down her resume gently on the dark wood table, forcing herself to meet those godly green eyes. "I'm happy you took interest in studying and working here, Ms. Silverwright. I couldn't help but see you personally as there is no other famed young graduate after my brothers and me." He chuckled. Julia wants to melt badly in her seat. She knows she used so much of her luck in life right now. When he called for her through the intercom in the waiting panel, the secretary's eyes of green shade didn't miss Julia's sight, as the man is known to be constantly on charity tour and left and the right paperwork. She almost ran out of luck the moment she decided to try out for his medical school, seeing the long waiting applicants list of other prestigious top students all over the world vying to become a part of his institution. "Perfect academic backgrounds, amazing credentials, and quite an experience in the field of science you have. I'm in luck to be your employer Ms. Silverwright." She sighed in relief— His sweet smile turned into that of a straight line, surprising her. Another opportunity for her is it? No other paparazzi can capture a photo of him in such expression after all. In honesty, he never portrayed a dead serious look in everyone's eyes until now to hers. Her heartbeat started pumping madly, her every breath short and lacking. "But won't Queen Alexandria be unhappy to find out her great granddaughter's living in pitiful conditions?" Her blood ran cold as he mentioned the oldest living woman of her lineage. She froze on her seat, numb and unable to move aside from the word forcefully uttered out of her pale lips. "P-pardon?" The doctor whistled low, pulling up one of his drawers he took out a clear black folder and opened it with one hand. The first page immediately revealed an organized collage of her photos since she started living in America and the pictures at Birmingham Palace that she burned with her own hands. His joyful green eyes turned into a business-only-matters shade. "My detectives do wonders, don't they? Imagine, the acquitted princess of Britain working and studying in my medical school. The hidden forbidden daughter of former successor Princess Isabella Martine Howards and her lover a poor man from estate London, George Michaelis Silverwright." She loathes being connected to anything but that aforementioned country. Her unsure smile turned into a small upward curved line, very pale blue into purplish eyes becoming as hollow as her smile and without a fear-locked sight with him. Julia's posture relaxed. "As you said, I am acquitted, the parliament has no concern over my status as so I have none over them. But I understand your statement, Dr. Diamonds." She mused with blank nothingness and nodded, finding no hope in being accepted into his medical school anymore. Julia straightened her skirt and prepared to leave, filled with disappointment over her background. For crying out loud what does she expect, no one would fear her familial lineage? All of her damned relatives made sure she would find no secure future at all, what with her run-down apartment and living. "Consider yourself hired and enrolled Miss Silverwright. I expect you to be here by the season," his warm voice sounded music to her ears despite the rejection— What? The white-haired woman couldn't fathom his statement. With a numbed "thank you" sliding past her tongue and weakly shaking his hand, her feet lead her to the outside of his office lounge. Her shell-shocked orbs didn't catch sight of the mischievous sly smile and glinting green eyes in his face. |◇|◇| Julia cursed in a mute voice as her fingers flitted through the seams of her paper. She wants the class to end immediately, to go to her work in the pharmaceutical lab and busy herself deriving mind-altering chemistry equations. Unfortunately, time didn't seem to agree with her and continuously tortures her. Sitting in front of a dashing doctor in the middle of a heatwave attacking Los Angeles isn't her preferred seat. The broken rundown AC unit isn't doing her any good, her lightly damp clothes tightly clinging to her skin giving off an uncomfortable itch. It was fair enough that the medical school allowed sleeveless clothes, knee-length pants, and skirts, but again it's not doing good on a 38°c start of summer heat onslaught. Fanning isn't a good alternative, having forgotten her tiny battery-powered mini fan and actual wind fan at home in a rush that morning. Her eyes accidentally wandered once again over to Dr. Diamendes. Bad mistake. She isn't one hypocritical to deny the godly looks heavens over blessed the Diamendes brothers of. Especially one of her types is Luciel Diamendes. Curled locks with a pigment akin to the darkest of nights and alluring eyes of shining green earthly color in one square face of the absolute precise sharp jawline and nose structure. His tanned unmarred skin from his godly El Salvadoran lineage glowed lively in contrast to her pale white, the clear smooth skin appeared to only stick to his definite muscles. She's one willing to grasp the opportunity of being in those strong arms— She shook her head in a futile attempt to block the tirade of dirty thoughts about her professor. Bad Julia. Bad. Two years done, the albino reminded herself. One last year and she'll be doing an intern job and avoid lusting after her professor. She doesn't prefer to become a hopeless love-struck harpy student. No, Julia won't fall for those times she caught him looking at her with such wanton passion and desire that would make her knees shiver. She'll ignore that blurry condescending limited damned smirk on his face whenever they pass by each other. He's a Diamendes, probably he hasn't gotten laid in a while or he's a virgin at 27. I'd choose to go with the latter, however. She knows the realities of the world that there's no actual saint living. But for heaven's sake, it would be first impossible for the kind doctor to actually do that to his student. "Full marks, Ms. Silverwright. As expected." He praised, giving her a feeling of accomplishment. Julia felt a little guilty for thinking about the doctor like that. He was the source of her good life now; referred her to one of the small decent apartment units a year ago, giving her a job in his prominent pharmaceuticals and allowing her to loan a mini-laboratory for her own experiments. He's way too kind. Her batchmates scratched the back of their heads. "As and will be always, you mean." Luciel chuckled. "She's a gem, that is." Julia flustered in her seat. "Thank you," "Now now, open up to page 356, and let's start a deeper check into human anatomy shall we?" Lectures are far more hellish for her. She does her notes, highlights her important information in advance. Whenever there are additions, it was a common practice of her neck to stay straight upward looking at the proctor while her hand moves to take down notes in an organized manner. It has become a useful thing in her early years, although now Julia realizes it as another problematic manner. With all of the other people inside the boundaries of the small heated enclosure looking down on their papers every two seconds to five, she was sure she was only getting dizzy from the heatwave at the little muted formations of his lips. Muted in perfect timing that they won't notice the blank pronunciations and only if they were to look long enough would they notice. That meant only Julia would see. She felt a cold sweat drop from the side of her head as she combined those muted lip forms, hearing him call out her name before her vision dotted into tiny sparks and combusting into absolute darkness. Julia's ears opened up to almost absolute silence, hearing nothing but flipping papers and the sound of a single electric fan working. The tingle of trailing sweat was apparent over her sides but not on her face much to her shock, jolting up immediately to see a clear white towel has been placed between her resting arm and face. The cold side was due to the fan focused on her. Her head ached momentarily as a sense of deja vu enveloped her conciousness. "What happened...?" Her voice stuck back to her throat as she remembered the events before fainting. She moved her vision around, seeing nothing but empty seats. T-the class! "Good afternoon, Ms. Silverwright. I apologize for not giving you a better position on sleeping but I do know sleeping in the middle of my class is quite an insult to my profession." His monotone voice slapped her awake. She worried at the sight of her usual cheery professor glancing at her with punishing eyes, straying from the bound of paperwork on top of his table. Her thighs rubbed together and she gulped. "S-sir?" Luciel was dripping sweat from the tips of his hair down to the delicious trail over his neck. The tops of his casual dress shirt opened wide for her to peek at those washboard tight pecs. Moreover, his look was saying anything but friendly. His aura screamed a predator trapping the prey if to cliche novels. He sighed and dropped his paper, his chair screeching aback from the force of stand, and in two easy strides, he cornered her on her seat, casually sitting on top of her desk. The famed doctor tilted her chin upwards none too gently to meet his gaze, and the strong punishing defied expression turned into one of powerful lust and promises of punishment. She felt trapped under the spell. "What a bad little girl, sleeping in the middle of my class..." he husked, rubbing the sides of her face. With one hand she faintly registered the warm skin trailing up her exposed thighs. Julia's eyes narrowed, the fire burning brightly and in one quick motion she pulled out a device from the middle of her breasts. She slid down her seat and flicked the tip of the metal pole as it extended to two feet long with a deadly sharpened tip. The albino brought it down to her professor's head, only for him to stop it from falling with one hand. The sweet motherly cotton eyes darkened at him, the warmth gone and replaced by questioning and annoyance. "What a surprise, you're quite a spitfire Julia." He laughed, shaking her nerves. "I admit a mere few seconds ago I was thinking of how to get laid with you, but your motives are questionable." Luciel simply gripped the tip, laughing at her statement. "You've been inviting me all along, darling." The telescopic defense pole etched closer to his face, and he's surprised at the sheer amount of strength she's exerting easily to match at least half of his own. "A wolf under a lamb, or should I say a destroyer under a healer's coat, eh? The saying never goes old. How many women have you bedded, how many innocent lives you've ruined with your magic hands Dr. Luciel?" His eyes darkened, gleaming even in the dimly lit facility. She matched those with eyes filled with burning hate and disgust, hate for this bastard and disgust for her uncontrollable arousal towards him even now. "Never have I needed nor touched any other woman in the slightest manner unlike to you, darling. I swore on my mother's grave I will only chase one woman to bear the name." Moments of silence echoed between them. Luciel knew if he won't cut the chase, Julia will reach for the little deadly gun on her thigh straps, and cleaning blood inside the classroom would be a hassle to adjust his schedule. Only for a sweet giggle breaking it. "How sweet," Julia knew this man was not her admirable professor, not the kind doctor everyone around the world looks up to, neither the most asexual man the media claims of. It was a man that desires her. "Imagine the tabloids, brilliant Dr. Diamendes seduced by his throwaway student. What a success they'd make!" She threw her head back in laughter, her grip on the iron pole loosening as she struggles to stop herself from containing fits. "I'm tired of this foolishness Dr. Luciel." She drawled with a small smile. "I cannot worm my way back in the royal family, and never will I. If you want my money, you will never get one." He smirked. "I don't want your money darling," Luciel leaned closer to her, the tip of their noses touching. The fire burned brightly in the middle of his irises, the jade becoming an emerald. "I want you, no, scratch that. I need you." "Some sort of revenge you're using me into...?" "No, I can destroy the whole royal family if I want to." Julia isn't surprised by his answer that the destruction can be a snap of his fingers. She knows there something more sinister that the billionaire doctor holds behind his back. She smiled with such motherly affection, cruelly to his eyes. "This is absolute insanity, everything in what you are trying to do as of now is one." "Marrying me will return your sister to you, Julia." Her resolve crashed. |◇|◇| The albino intern's knees shivered, feeling the cold wind brush up the skin of her thighs. She wondered if her lavender wrap-around button dress was too modest, too fancy, too hard to slide off her skin. Everyone thought another, graced by her existence in this world. "Please give another round of applause to our young scientist and future doctor, Ms. Julianne Silverwright!" The host claimed, the spotlights and flashing cameras focused on her position that which blinded her vision momentarily. At first, she thought it was the shining Nobel Peace Prize trophy in her hands that would blind her. The prize she has been looking forward to this whole night's event. The only reason she dressed so accordingly and pampered herself for a good public image. The thought of a perfect public image shattered when she felt a large warm hand reach for her cold ones, giving off an addicting heat she craved and was denied the whole time. His jade green eyes came into view, a proud smile on his lips as he tugged for her to move down, to move closer to him. Another appendage caressed her shoulder in a comforting manner, rubbing and soothing the goosebumps. "Well done, Dr. Julia." He drawled sweetly with such innocent admiration, hugging her suddenly for all eyes to see, and the cameras down to articles can only see nothing but a lovely interaction between two prodigies; a student and her proud teacher. No one would hear his whisper and witness him lick to her ear as she laid down white tresses covered the view. No one would see the surprised look in his eyes as she shakes her head and replies a 'no'.
