Chapter 98: The Danger within Latisiva.

Lavi, Aria and Kimi continued on their way toward Latisiva. However, as they are approaching closer and closer to the area, they naturally started to get more and more careful when going. Lavi can sense the fear and trauma coming from the sisters. So, he understand their struggles and go along with their pace.
But still, Lavi has yet to learn most of the dangers on Latisiva. He heard about the struggle that the sisters had when the Demonic Sword Clan taking over, but didn't specify what or who gives them the most struggle so that Lavi is aware of who are the people he's going against.
Because of that reason, Lavi decided to ask them about it frontally so that he can learn about who he's up against and if he's confident, he can give the sisters some confident in taking their land back too.
"Tell me. What's the problem in the past like?" As soon as Lavi asked that, the sisters didn't hesitate to tell him. It's like the two has been wanting him to asked them.
It seems like the two of them has been holding back to not force Lavi to get into this matter by not telling him about it. In their mind, if they just tell him about it, then it looked like they're demanding him to help them. They want Lavi to be the one having the intention to help them, not them forcing Lavi to get that intention to help them.
"The disaster begins 2 months ago, the start of our nightmare..." Aria, started explaining to Lavi about what had happened to Latisiva to the point of falling of power...
In the Castle of Latisiva, sat there a King, the father of Aria and Kimi. He was a powerful and intelligent king who's been keeping Latisiva at peace for more than 30 years. Although powerful and intelligent, the King lack something that might been able to prevent the fall of the Latisiva. It was the ability to become twisted and cunning.
Hence, when the guardian Clan of the Latisiva family, which is the Demonic Sword Clan make their move to take the Latisiva Land, the King didn't realize it...
The Demonic Sword Clan, also have a powerful and intelligent swordsman. With power rivaling that of the King but also at the same time, the cunning and twisted mind to do anything it takes to get what he wanted.
He was referred as the Demonic God Sword. He was the strongest being in the Demonic Sword Clan and he's taken the role as the Phantom Clan Head. As the strongest being in the clan, he had the power to control everything there. It doesn't matter who they are in the clan, whether they're elder, ancestor or someone who's so old that they've been working for the clan since the clan beginning, he had control over them. Of course, from the shadow.
Because he was powerful, he don't want any other people to know how powerful they are. Including the King of Latisiva.
That's why, when he decided to take over the Latisiva Land, he personally fight with the King for 7 days straight without rest on the sky, to which, the Demonic God Sword won the close fight.
However, what he didn't know about is that, his squad were absolute failure for not being able to locate both Aria and Kimi who had made their escape the moment their father get into fight... That resulted in his identity to be known by Aria and Kimi.
The Demonic God Sword doesn't want any of that from happening, so he sent out the best assassins to find the sisters and kill them while also bringing their corpse to him...
They've been on the run for more than a month at that point, they didn't realize that the guards that were living with them are moles that's been giving information to the best assassin squad the Demonic Sword Clan has...
They were so close to be able to finish what the Demonic God Sword wanted. But, Lavi appearance foils everything and leave everything in shambles.
That's the story that was revealed by Aria. But then, Kimi does last follow through that let Lavi know how powerful the Demonic God Sword actually are.
"The Demonic God Sword has First Rank Divine Treasure. However, because his cultivation matches his Sword Rank, he can do what other people couldn't. He had the gear and the ability to do some batshit crazy stuff, he uses that combination of things to take over everything... Kimi feels like she needed to apologizes because she feels she couldn't give information that Lavi needed. But Lavi thought otherwise.

For now, Lavi just think that it was a fun journey so far and it's going to be better from here on out. Because of that, Lavi started to prepare for the fight against the Demonic God Sword.
