The night was long. I tossed and turned for most of it. I kept dreaming of the man, or as Raziel said, Demon, at my front door. I also worried about what the next day would bring. What would the training be like? What would purgatory look like? Would Gabriel and I be together the whole time? What would happen to us after this was all over?
“Gabriel, I can’t sleep.” I sat up and found him looking out my window.
“I understand. Everything around you is causing anxiety,” Gabriel said softly.
