New Beginning
The following morning, Norah and Sophia boarded the earliest available flight to China. Throughout the journey, Sophia remained unusually quiet. She stared through the airplane window, replaying everything Barrister Thompson had revealed. Only a day ago, she believed she had lost everything—her marriage, her dignity, and her future. Now she was about to take over the company her father had built with his own hands.
After several hours, they arrived at the headquarters of Brown Aluminum Company.
The towering glass building stood proudly against the skyline. Employees in business suits moved in and out of the entrance while security officers maintained order. The company's name, engraved in shining silver letters, reminded Sophia that this was no dream.
As they stepped out of the car, a security officer greeted them respectfully.
"Welcome, Ms. Sophia. Welcome, Mrs. Norah."
Sophia looked around in amazement. Her hands trembled slightly.
"I still can't believe this belongs to me," she whispered.
Norah smiled.
"It has always belonged to you."
The security officer escorted them to the executive conference hall. As the doors opened, every executive and department head immediately rose from their seats.
At the front of the room stood a tall, handsome young man dressed in a navy-blue suit. His calm confidence and warm smile immediately caught Sophia's attention.
He stepped forward politely.
"Welcome, Miss Sophia."
She nodded.
"You must be Mr. John."
John smiled.
"It's an honor to finally meet the rightful owner of Brown Aluminum Company."
He gestured toward the large chair at the head of the conference table.
"Please... your seat is waiting."
Sophia hesitated.
"I've never led a company before."
"You'll learn," Norah encouraged. "Every great leader starts somewhere."
Taking a deep breath, Sophia walked forward and sat in the CEO's chair. At that very moment, the room erupted into applause.
John addressed the staff.
"Everyone, I proudly introduce your new Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Sophia Brown."
The employees applauded once again.
Sophia smiled nervously before standing.
"I honestly don't know what to say. Until yesterday, I didn't even know this company still belonged to my family."
The room became quiet as everyone listened.
"My father built this company with dedication and integrity. I may not know everything today, but I promise to work hard, learn from each of you, and continue the values he believed in."
Her humble words earned another round of applause.
John walked toward her carrying several files.
"These are the financial reports for the last five years."
Sophia accepted them carefully.
"I've managed the company according to your father's instructions," John explained. "Every profit that belonged to you has been preserved."
He handed another document to her.
"This is the final authorization."
Sophia signed her name.
Seconds later, her phone vibrated.
A notification from her bank appeared on the screen.
She stared at the figures, unable to speak.
Billions of dollars had been transferred into her account.
Her eyes widened.
"This... this can't be real."
John smiled.
"It is real. Every dollar represents profits your company earned while waiting for you."
Sophia looked at Norah with tears in her eyes.
"You protected all of this for me."
Norah nodded gently.
"Your father trusted us."
John then produced a small envelope.
"There is one more thing."
Sophia accepted it.
"It contains the last handwritten message your father left concerning you."
Her hands shook as she unfolded the letter.
“Sophia, if you are reading this, it means the time has finally come. I asked that this inheritance remain hidden until you discovered who truly loved you and who only wanted your wealth.
Never allow anyone to control your future. Stand on your own feet, build your own life, and remember that your greatest strength is your character, not your fortune. I will always be proud to call you my daughter.”
By the time she finished reading, tears streamed down her face.
"He believed in me all along," she whispered.
Norah wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"He never stopped."
Sophia carefully folded the letter and held it against her chest.
"I won't disappoint him."
John smiled.
"And you won't have to do it alone. I'll help you understand every part of the business until you're completely comfortable leading it."
Sophia nodded gratefully.
"Thank you.
"
Meanwhile, back at the Williams family mansion, life was becoming increasingly complicated.
Nearly four months had passed since Isabella announced her pregnancy. Yet something continued to trouble Ethan.
He sat quietly in the bedroom, watching Isabella as she folded clothes.
"Isabella," he said thoughtfully, "don't you think your pregnancy should be showing by now?"
She paused for a second before forcing a smile.
"The doctor said every woman is different."
Before Ethan could respond, Abigail entered the room.
"I knew you'd ask that question," Abigail said calmly.
"We visited the doctor together. The baby is simply developing differently. There's nothing to worry about."
Although Ethan nodded, doubt lingered in his heart.
"Maybe I should speak to the doctor myself."
Abigail quickly answered.
"Of course. You'll hear the same thing."
After reassuring him, she quietly left the room.
Once they were alone, Isabella sat beside Ethan and gently held his hand.
"I know you're worried," she said softly. "But I would never lie to you about something so important."
Ethan looked into her eyes.
"I want to believe you."
She leaned against his shoulder, and the two shared a quiet, affectionate moment, hoping to put their worries aside.
Yet even as Ethan returned her embrace, his thoughts wandered elsewhere.
For reasons he couldn't explain, memories of Sophia continued to haunt him.
He remembered her kindness, her patience, and the countless sacrifices she had made for him.
The emptiness she left behind refused to disappear.
As Isabella rested beside him, Ethan
stared silently toward the window.
Something felt wrong.
He couldn't explain it.
He replied to Isabella with a smile and said, "I owe you a lot, and I'll repay every bit of it."
Romantically, Ethan looked into her eyes. Isabella slowly drew her lips to his, and they shared a deep, passionate kiss.
The intensity between them quickly grew as Ethan pulled off his shirt and tossed it aside. He wrapped his arms around Isabella, holding her as though he never wanted to let her go. She responded eagerly, matching every kiss and every touch as they gave themselves completely to the moment.
That night was filled with passion. Isabella moaned softly, encouraging Ethan as their desire for each other continued to grow. They moved together in perfect rhythm, each responding to the other's touch. Both of them enjoyed every moment, their chemistry making the experience even more intense.
Isabella and Ethan had always shared a powerful attraction. Their passion wasn't limited to the night; whenever they were together and desire arose, they naturally found themselves in each other's arms. Their strong physical connection was something they both cherished.
When everything finally settled, Isabella lay beneath Ethan, breathing heavily before smiling.
"The most interesting s*x so far," she whispered with satisfaction.
Ethan remained on top of her for a moment, smiling as he gazed into her eyes.
Yet behind that smile, doubt lingered.
Deep in his heart, he felt that something wasn't right. No matter how satisfying their intimacy had been, it couldn't erase the quiet disturbance that continued to trouble him.
