Natalie sat silently in the passenger seat of their car on their way home from the hospital, her mind racing with contradicting ideas and feelings. Lillian gave her a worried look, but she recognized Natalie's need for privacy and gave her time to gather her thoughts. Returned to Lillian's house, Natalie entered gingerly, still feeling overwhelmed. Lillian trailed closely behind, prepared to provide her with whatever assistance she might require. Natalie eventually broke the silence once they were comfortable in the living room. Softly, "Lillian, I'm scared," she said. "I had not anticipated this. I'm not sure how to manage being pregnant, particularly in these situations." Lillian sat next to Natalie, putting a comforting hand on her shoulder. She whispered softly, "It's okay to feel scared, Natalie." "Since this is a significant shift, feeling overwhelmed is normal. But keep in mind that you're not doing this alone. I'll be here to help you along the entire journey." Natalie nodded, tears rising in her eyes once more. "You know, I just... I had ideas. I wanted to become independent and advance my career. This now..." Lillian gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. "Nothing says you have to give up on your aspirations because you have a child, Natalie. It may alter the course or the timeline, but it need not deter you. You have faith in yourself, and you're strong and capable. " With a weak smile, Natalie expressed her gratitude for Lillian's steadfast support. "I'm grateful, Mrs Jameson. Without you, I can't comprehend what I will do.” Lillian soothed her, "You don't have to figure it all out right now." "Let's approach things day by day. Together, we will navigate this. Lillian and Natalie established a schedule that worked for Natalie's pregnancy throughout the course of the following several days. Lillian made sure Natalie had enough sleep and fed her wholesome food. She also assisted Natalie in looking into pregnancy support and care options. Lillian continued to be Natalie's architectural mentor as she adapted to being a mother, giving her a feeling of direction and normalcy. Despite her initial reservations, Natalie saw that she was becoming more optimistic about the future every day. As Natalie's pregnancy developed over the coming months, her bond with Lillian grew increasingly deeper. They had developed a strong bond, and Lillian had evolved from a mentor to a mother and a reliable confidante. Natalie stumbled onto a large international architecture competition one day. Lillian encouraged her to enter with all her heart and soul. Natalie was surprised to hear that her design had won. She was not only acknowledged for her talent and hard work but also awarded a scholarship to study architecture abroad. Natalie, overflowing with joy and gratitude, informed Lillian, who couldn't have been happier. "This is incredible, Natalie!" Lillian exclaimed, her eyes bright with excitement. "You've performed so hard for this, and now you have an amazing opportunity to further your education and pursue your dreams." However, when Natalie prepared for her trip abroad, she encountered a problem. With her pregnancy reaching an end, she had to decide whether to postpone her studies or depart for the program right away. After much thought, Natalie made a difficult decision. She realized this was a chance too good to pass up, but she couldn't face the notion of leaving Lillian behind. In an unexpected turn of events, Lillian offered to accompany Natalie on her international voyage, providing support and guidance along the way. They set forth on a new journey, prepared to face whatever hardships lie ahead. Natalie's development as an architect and person proceeded as she engaged herself in her studies abroad. And with Lillian by her side, she understood that no matter where life led her, she would always have someone to confide in and enjoy victories and setbacks with. The scholarship fueled her interest in architecture even outlying by entitling her to study with renowned architects and gain knowledge about cutting-edge techniques. Despite the initial difficulties of being in a new nation and juggling her education and pregnancy, Natalie thrived with Lillian's continuous support. Lillian made certain Natalie had everything she required, from comfortable accommodations to nutritional meals and regular medical check-ups. As Natalie's due date approached, Lillian and Natalie's companionship grew deeper. They spent hours talking about design, future goals, and the joys and tribulations of impending parenting. Natalie gave birth earlier than expected date on a gloomy evening in an overseas city. Lillian panicked but collected, and rushed her to the hospital, where the medical staff assisted them in giving birth. Despite the difficulties, Natalie gave birth to a healthy baby boy called Lucas. Natalie burst into tears as she clasped her son in her arms, overcome with pleasure and happiness. Lillian stood at her side, placing a calming hand on her shoulders. "I never thought I could do this, ma'am," Natalie said softly, her voice overflowing with emotion. "Thank you for believing in me and being here for us." Lillian smiled pleasantly. "Natalie, you are stronger than you know. Lucas is evidence of that. You've overpowered so much to get here, and I couldn't be more proud of you. As Natalie settled into parenthood, Lillian remained supportive, assisting her in navigating the difficulty of reconciling her career goals with the duties of being a single mother. They celebrated Natalie's architectural achievements, including a pioneering design project that received international praise. Years later, Natalie reflected on her path with thankfulness. She had not only realized her ambition of becoming an architect, but she had also discovered a loving family in Lillian and her son Lucas. Natalie had overcome difficulty with Lillian's advice and support, paving the way for a brighter future. Her life was going great until she returned from work one evening to find Lucas sobbing. She hurried over to embrace him and drew him near to her. "What happened, my boy?" she questioned, her voice full of anxiety. "Mom, where is my father?" Lucas questioned, shakily speaking. Natalie was amidst tears, and she was having trouble speaking. She was unsure of how to respond to her son. Reassuring Lucas, she said she would tell him about his father eventually. Natalie put Lucas to bed and sat by herself in her living room after giving him a peck and watching him drift off to sleep. Isn't this an issue and a problem that is approaching? Lucas is inquiring about his father right now.” she sighed. Her thoughts were interrupted by an email notification.
