I couldn't quite believe what I just heard. I was just feeling extreme jealousy towards the girl Callum just made such an impassioned speech for, but he said it was me?
"The first time you saw me…" I mumbled. "When was that?"
The first time I saw Callum was seven years ago. But it must have been much later for him. I hardly ever came out of my house at the time.
He gazed off into the distance, a fond look on his face. "Four years ago. At the time, I already knew Daniel and he had been targeting me for a while. When I saw him walking and chattering with a girl for the first time, I was a little curious and decided to get a closer view. Then I took one look at you and I was a goner." He smiled tenderly. "You were smiling so innocently. It made me entranced."
