"Are you free after school?" Callum asked me cautiously right after classes had ended.
I shot him an apologetic look. "My father will probably want me to be home early today."
He nodded in understanding. "Well then… how about tomorrow? It's a weekend so maybe we could meet somewhere?"
"I'll let you know." I said after some hesitation. I hardly thought I would be in any position to meet him tomorrow, but I could hope.
"Okay." He said, seeming slightly disappointed with my vague answer.
I left ahead of Callum, heading outside the school where I'll wait for my taxi. My father had several personal drivers and I could have hired their services, but I liked having the freedom of not being controlled by him even if it's only on the way home.
