This isn’t even a difficult job. Any given day, Nora and I would have done this in ten minutes or less. But this isn’t just Nora and Alex anymore. We aren’t a secret. We’re entirely public, not worrying about losing one another because of our relationship.
Nora has family and friends.
Jack will always be her ride or die. Her words, not mine. I don’t like her talking about “ride” and Jack in the same sentence but whatever.
We probably won’t be pulling jobs like this on our own anymore if we can help it. Jack won’t be the Alpha for long once Brandon takes it. He’ll probably get bored in his retirement. Ethan and Ace are always helpful when they aren’t really being assholes in their own ways.
