It was a good thing that Kei knew where to go to leave the compound unnoticed – he and Ren had been exploring the grounds a few years back during the last meeting the Peridot family had hosted and had found a breach in the walls that led to the vast woods where The Run took place.
Running with formal shoes on wasn't easy, least of all at the speed that Kei was going, but he wasn’t in his territory, and removing his clothes completely back at the compound could eventually be a dead giveaway to the fact that he’d followed Ciel before The Run had started – not to mention that the fabric was reeking of the other man considering how much they’d rubbed against each other.
Even if he ran faster than any human – and Shifter - he knew there was no way he could be as fast as Ciel in his wolf
