Kei While Kei had to undergo many medical tests throughout the year, he wasn’t as used to shifting as one would think. It was almost disgraceful, but most Shifters living in urban areas could go for months without doing so, and this happened to him. Expectedly, it hurt. He had forgotten how painful shifting was as his bones snapped and mutated, muscles enlarged and skin stretched – it was a pain a mere human could not endure without their mind breaking. Not to mention the more genetically developed Shifters were, the bigger they became, which made the process worse. Still, once Kei had fully turned into a wolf – as large as Ciel was – he felt nothing but relief as his human mind seemed to slowly dissipate to give way to a less analytical and more primal and instinctual way of thinking
