As Athena pulled back from his arms she looked at Jaques and found the same love and adoration in his eyes as she had seen last day. She was guilty of making the same mistake over and over again even when she knew that she did not love Jaques like he did her. And this was a criminal offence in her eyes, breaking his heart when she knew she would not be able to return the favour.
“We have been here for quite long Jaques, shall we go downstairs? I have one cake to decorate and you have a lot of guests to host. I don’t think that we should be up here spending time looking at stars and reminiscing old times,” said Athena, as she smiled at Jaques and casually stepped out of his arms.
