First Holidays

DENNY

It has been 7 months since Maliki and I got married. Things have changed between us starting with the fact that I sleep on his chest everynight. We have never done more than kiss, it isn't that I don't want to but I am scared to go down that road with him.

Maliki went with my mom and dad for two days on their annual shopping trip is SanHolla. They are also checking on Daniella who has made a lot of money off her artwork and just moved out of our beach house into her own place. Mason is in prison for beating a woman to death so Daniella will never have to worry about him again.

I have been sitting in the livingroom playing cards with Brandon and Nate waiting for them to get home.

The door finally opens and I ignore it taking my turn.

Dad: " Denny girl we are home"

I get up and walk to my dad hugging him and smile.

" Hey daddy how was your trip?"

" It was well sweetheart"

I hug my mom

" Good haul?"

" The best yet sweet pea"

The guys go out and help grab everything and take it upstairs. Maliki walks in and I smile he puts the bags down and I run jumping in his arms. Kissing him as hard as I can then lean my forehead to his

" I missed you"

He chuckles

" I missed you two baby"

He kisses me again and smiles putting me down

" Let me put everything up I will see you in a few minutes"

I smile and nod

I turn to my dad and he smiles

" Never thought I would see that"

I roll my eyes

" Don't start with me daddy"

I walk back into the livingroom and grab my soda and I hear a shriek of excitement and throw my drink all over myself Jumping and turning around.

" Daniella what the hell"

" Sorry Denny"

I walk over and hug her

" How are you hun"

" Great, your parents invited us for Christmas and I wanted to visit with you."

I nod

" Thats awesome girl I am glad to see you"

" I'm going to go clean up and then we can hang out"

" I made Shrimp Scampi it's in the kitchen if you want some might want to get to it before Mal does"

She nods and I walk up to my room pulling off my clothes and going to my dresser when I hear the door open and am attacked from behind I shriek and start giggling turning around in his arms.

" Hi babe"

He picks me up kissing me

" I really missed you baby"

" I missed you two Mal put me down silly"

He kisses me again and sits me down, he smiles and I turn around grabbing some leggings and a shirt and putting them on. Then walking over and grabbing his hoodie from his bag.

" You cold?"

" Freezing, I just spilled soda all over myself"

He spins me around picking me up and carrying me to the bed and laying me down then laying down and pulling me on his chest making me laugh again. I smile as he starts running his fingers through my hair.

" There is shrimp scampi in the kitchen"

" Mhhm, 5 minutes"

We lay there just enjoying this moment together.

" Denny"

" Hmm"

" What do you want for Christmas?"

" Nothing"

He pulls me up to face him

" Why?"

" I can buy myself anything I want, that is why I dissapear after dinner every year I usually give all my presents to other people that can't afford Christmas then go help at the soup kitchen"

He smiles

" Of course you do baby"

" Can I go with you this year"

I nod

" If you want to"

" What do you want for Christmas Mal?"

" This, spending time with you"

I smile and kiss him

" Can I tell you something Ardenia?"

" Anything"

" I'm scared"

I put my hand on his cheek looking in his eyes

" Of what babe"

" Of you Denny, you aren't the girl I always thought you where"

I let go getting up

" What the hell does that mean Maliki"

He gets up grabbing my waist

" It means you are amazing Denny, and I don't want things to change between us"

I wrap my arms around his neck

" Mal why would anything change between us?"

" I don't know Denny, we only have 17 months left of the contract and I just...."

I cut him off kissing him

" Don't, don't bring up that contract I don't care about the contract Mal I care about this kissing you and laying on your chest at night the contract doesn't matter to me."

" You mean that?"

I nod and kiss him again

" Absolutly Maliki"

He smiles

" Let's go attack that Scampi baby"

We head to the kitchen and Maliki demolishes everything left of the food

" Is that all that was left"

I start laughing

" Fat a$$"

He flips me off and everyone starts laughing

Daniella: " You wern't kidding"

I smile

Brandon starts laughing

" As long as he doesn't find the Pie we will be fine"

I see Maliki's eyes light up

" Don't you dare Maliki, leave my pie alone"

" Damnit DonDon shut the hell up you loud mouth"

Nate laughs

" I'm more worried about the moose cake"

I glare at him

" Would you two zip it before I murder you"

Maliki gets up and heads to the kitchen I run infront of him cutting him off.

" No, it is for Christmas dinner don't you dare"

" One slice, that is all"

" Last year your one slice was 3/4 of my cake don't you dare."

He leans down kissing me

" Then make me more food missy"

I giggle

" Fine go sit your a$$ down and keep your hands off my deserts."

Daniella giggles

" You two look like an old married couple right now"

I flip her off and walk to the kichen I don't feel like cooking so I decide to sacrifice my Fruity pebble cheese cake and carry the entire thing with plates and forks to the table sitting down next to Maliki He gets a huge piece and I laugh at him.

We go to back to our room and I go take a shower I stole one of Mal's shirts and slip in to it when I am done and walk back into the room he smiles grabbing his stuff he grabs my waist kissing me as he walks by.

" You look Beautiful in my shirt baby"

I giggle and go lay down, he comes back in just his boxers. I curl up next to him and fall asleep

MALIKI

I really missed having her in my arms. I am definently falling down the rabbit hole here.

Denny spends all day in the kitchen with Rosie on Christmas eve cooking I have snuck in a few times grabbing bits and pieces of food getting my hands smacked.

Denny smiles threatning with a knife

" One more time Maliki Daniel and I will kick your as$"

I smile

" Is that a promise baby?"

She giggles and I grab the knife out of her hand setting it down and caressing her cheek kissing her.

Rosie: " There is a sight"

I spin Denny around and grab one of her deviled eggs

" Mal seriously"

I chuckle and kiss her temple then walk off joining the guys in the livingroom watching TV.

Christmas Day

We do our gift exchange and eat dinner. Then Denny and I sneak off she get's in a big pickup loaded with gifts

" Denny what is all this?"

" Gifts, I do this every year."

I smile and she drives to a part of town that is super sketchy and not somewhere I feel safe knowing she comes to.

People start coming out of their houses and Denny greets them smiling, hugging, holding kids and laughing. I love seeing this side of her it's Gorgeous.

She turns to me holding a small child

" Mal do you mind helping Odie pass out the gifts?"

I smile

" Of course baby, who is the little guy?"

She smiles tickling the baby

" This guy is Francis he is my God son"

a guy walks up tapping my shoulder

" Hi I'm Odie"

I nod

" Nice to meet you, let's get these gifts out"

We walk over and I hand him gifts and he yells out names one by one. I hand him the last gift and he hands it back

" That is your's buddy"

I look at Denny and she is smiling and laughing with everyone there is now a full on block party with picnic tables and food everywhere and small fireless pits sitting around to warm everyone up.

I walk up to her holding the small gift box

" Baby what is this"

" A gift Mal open it"

I open the gift and it is a wedding ring a black diamond ring, Denny and I have silicone rings.

" Baby I can't take this"

" You can and you will"

" I got one to match"

She holds up her hand that has A beautiful princess cut black diamond in it. I grab her hand kissing it and smile at her. I slide my hand up to her face and lean in kissing her.

" Come on silly let's go celebrate we have two hours before we go to the soup kitchen"

I nod and follow her, I am actually enjoying myself playing with all the kids and watching Denny in this light I am seeing of hers. An hour before we head out Brandon and Nate pull up in her Audi. She walks over hugging them and hands Brandon the truck keys wispering in his ear.

I walk up to her putting my arms around her as he walks off.

" What was that about?"

" Watch" I watch Brandon search through the crowd until he finds a couple they have 3 small children, she is pregnant and the man is on crutches with a broken leg. Brandon hands him the keys and the lady drops to the ground crying. Her kids start hugging him and talking to him

Nate: " Denny gives the truck away every year we have been doing this since she was 16"

" And your dad doesn't get mad you use his money?"

She turns around and smiles

" I don't, I have been investing in stocks since I was 15 my dad just gives me advice on when and where to invest."

I lean down kissing her

" You are Amazing Ardenia Carson"

" Not so bad yourself there Mr. Owens"

She pecks me on the lips and walks off

I turn to Nate

" I never knew you guys did all this"

He nods

" That is why we all sneak off on Christmas, Denny loves everyone here."

" Don't hurt her Ki she is sensitive and I know she really likes you"

I nod

" I like her two, I feel like I have spent the last 9 years watching an image of her"

" That is just the image Denny's parents want from her, well mostly the getting in trouble thing that is all DenDen she breaks down sometimes trying to pretend to be the perfect daughter."

" This is what Denny was meant to do, she was meant to help people and love people the way she does"

I nod

" I like this Denny"

Brandon walks up behind me

" Told you man down to earth"

I nod smiling and Denny walks back up to us she slides her hand to my face kissing me

" Ready to go boys, we need to go see Mrs. Dalton before we go to the Kitchen"

" Who is Mrs. Dalton?"

Nate smiles

" The old woman Denny helps take care of"

We load in the car and Denny get's in the drivers seat.

" Buckle up Ki, Denny is driving"

She laughs and flips him off pulling out. This woman is an insane driver I am pretty sure she has hit 100 a few times. She pulls off the freeway and we stop at a small cottage she jumps out and I release a breath I didn't realize I was holding

" You guys actually ride with her all the time?"

Brandon laughs

" You get use to it man"

I get out and walk to the back of the car Denny hands me plates of food from our Chirstmas dinner. We walk in and she leans down to the old lady sitting in her chair.

" Merry Christmas Gail, we brought you some food"

The old lady smiles

" It is nice to see you Sweet Pea Merry Christmas, Who is the Hunk?"

She looks at me and Denny laughs

" That would be Paul Bunion"

The lady starts laughing and smiling

" That is your new husband?"

Denny nods

" You hit the Jackpot girl"

Denny smiles and walks over grabbing the plates from me and unwrapping one handing it to the woman.

" I am going to put the desert in your fridge"

Brandon and Nate walk over kissing Gail on the head and hugging her.

" You two be good and DonDon put a ring on his finger Damnit"

Brandon laughs and hugs her again

" Will do Gail have a good Christmas"

We walk out and I grab the keys from Denny

" Not happening baby"

She giggles and I open the door for her she gets in and I lean over buckling her up and kissing her lips.

We spend the rest of the day at the soup kitchen, When we get home we shower and I lay next to Denny falling asleep. I think this is the best Christmas I have had since I have been working for the Carson's.

NEW YEARS

DENNY

I have spent time with Daniella and J.R. all week, we are throwing our annual New years eve party tonight. I am looking forward to seeing everyone I feel like it has been forever.

I get ready and help Maliki with his tie, I smile and he pulls me in a kiss.

The party has been a success so far and I am happy about it Kinsey grabs my hand as she almost falls to the ground.

Denny can I shtalk cho you" Her words are slurred so bad I didn't know she drank that much. I grab her and yell for Maliki

" Take her to the guest room please"

He nods and I follow them up

She is sweaty I grab a towel wiping her head she is passed out now.

Maliki: " Is she okay?"

" I think so, she can just stay here tonight"

Carter comes bursting in the room

" What the hell did you do to my date Ardenia"

My eyes go wide and I look at Maliki, he walks between Carter and us

" Get out Carter or I will remove you from this party myself"

Carter chuckles and snaps his fingers three security guards walk in the room

" Get the women and f**k up the Great Ape"

Big mistake on his part, Carter leaves the room and Maliki says something in his headset. Then guys start coming at him he starts punching them left and right until one gets around him and grabs me I headbutt him and he stumbles back. Maliki grabs him and knocks him out.

He walks up to me grabbing my chin and making me look up that made me a little dizzy.

" You okay baby?"

I nod

" I'm fine"

Nate and Brandon come in dragging Carter.

Maliki lets me go and walks up to him forcing his head up to look Maliki in the eyes

" The next time I see a woman with you she better not be drugged Carter, You are a pathetic pig and my friends here are taking you outside to the police for those rufalins you have in your pocket."

" Stay the hell away from me, my wife and her friends comprendo"

Carter nods his head and Brandon and Nate drag him out.

I hear people at the party counting down and I walk to Maliki spinning him around and kissing him. He picks me up and deepens our kiss. I pull away giggling.

" Happy new years babe"

He leans his forehead to mine

" Happy new years baby"

"Mal my head hurts"

He laughs

" Lets get you some asprin baby"

I take asprin and we abandon the party and go watch a movie together.

I wake up the next morning and sneak out of the room going to the room where we Left Kinsey and sit beside her waking her up.

She grabs her head

" I always feel like I got hit by a train after being around Carter"

" Roofalin does that to you hun"

" So you know?"

I nod

" He did it to me for months, that is why I got in trouble"

I hand her the asprin and a water

" Here this will help"

" How long have you been with Cater?"

" Three weeks, this is the second time it happened the first I um..."

" Woke up in a random hotel room alone, feeling like you where mutilated and hit by a train"

She nods

" Yeah, I had a suspicion it was him lastnight when my second drink made me feel all wonky."

I nod

" It's okay hun I understand your pain, just stay away from Carter Santigo"

She smiles

" Thank you Denny, for helping me"

" You never come out clubbing anymore I miss you"

" I miss you two but you have my number I am always around I just don't party anymore"

" Why is that?"

" I'm married, I like sleeping next to my husband every night and I don't see a point in it anymore"

She nods

" Thanks again Denny"

I smile

" Come on hunny let's get you something covered in gravy it helps trust me"

We head downstairs and I start cooking Maliki wraps his arms around me.

" I almost freaked when you wern't in bed baby don't do that"

I turn around tippy toeing and kissing him

" I'm fine babe just making Kinsey some breakfast"

" You hungry"

" Always"

I make them plates and sit down eating my own. Kinsey leaves and we spend time with my family. It has been a really good Holiday season for me and spending time with Maliki has made it even better to me.
