I had to go out of town with my boss for a business trip and haven't seen Denny in 3 days. I sort of miss her curling up on my chest. It is 2am when we get home. I head to my room after the boss go to bed. I am attacked by a tiny little Ardenia jumping in my arms. She surrounds me in a kiss and I lean her against the wall kissing her.
I pull back chuckling
" Hey baby did you miss me?"
She giggles and hits my chest
" Yes, now shut up and kiss me Mal" I lean back into a kiss carrying her to our bed laying her down and then rolling to where she is on top of me. I pull away
" Baby calm down you are making me think you actually care"
" Screw you Maliki" She gets off of me and rolls off the bed.
" Awe Denny come on baby I was just joking"
" Hell of a way to joke Maliki"
" Doesn't matter I need to go anyways"
" Go?"
" Go where Ardenia?"
She turns to me
" The soup kitchen, It's Thanksgiving I need to get everything prepared by 11 then be back here by 2 for our dinner"
I get up and wrap my arms around her and she leans into my chest.
" I'm sorry okay, I was just kiddding"
" Can I come with you?"
She nods
" Yeah babe of course, Brandon and Nate are coming with me"
" I will get ready, but tell Dianna to take it easy on me."
She giggles turning to me
" Awe is the Big Bad Paul Bunion tired?"
I smile kissing her
" Your still a brat, and yes I am very tired"
We get dressed and head to the soup kitchen everyone gets to work. I love seeing her in this element it really shows me how much she cares about people.
Nate walks up next to me
" Careful man your eyes might fall out you keep staring"
" She is beautiful when she isn't acting"
He nods
" Yeah man I know, this is the Denny Brandon and I fell in love with"
He walks away and I turn back around getting to work. We leave at 1pm to go back home and Denny heads straight to the kitchen to help Rosie with dinner.
I go sit down in my office and fall asleep in my chair. I am woke up by Denny stroking my cheek
" Hey babe come on dinner is ready"
I nod and get up
" Hey Mal"
" Huh?"
" Thank you"
I grab her to me and stroke her cheek
" For what baby?"
" Not hating me anymore"
" I never hated you Ardinia"
" I just never knew the real you"
I lean in kissing her
" But your still a brat"
She giggles
" And you are still Paul Bunion"
I grab her hand and we walk to the dining room taking our seats. I eat and head back to my Office helping Brandon and Nate with security detail for the Thanksgiving Gala tonight.
Around 5 Denny knocks on the door interupting us.
" Hey?"
She waves
" Could I talk to you?"
" Um yeah sure give me a minute"
She nods I finish up and my guys leave getting ready for their assignments. Denny is leaning agsinst the wall in my hoodie I start walking over to her.
" You cold?"
She nods
" Freezing sorry all of my jakets are dry clean only and yours is really comfortable I just..."
I cut her off stroking her cheek
" Denny you talk too much" I lean down kissing her and she giggles against my lips kissing me back.
" I have to help run detail tonight will you be okay?"
She nods
" That's what I wanted to talk to you about"
" A friend of mine is in the hospital and I was going to go stay with her for a while"
" Okay do you need someone with you?"
she shakes her head
" I will be fine, don't work too hard I will see you later"
I nod and lean down kissing her again, she wraps her arms around my neck and I pick her up leaning her against the wall.
" Be careful, call me if you need me okay"
She nods and walks out
The Gala is in full swing it is 11:30 I feel like Ardenia should have been here by now.
Brandon: " BOSS!"
" What? What happened?"
Brandon: " ANSWER YOUR DAMN PHONE DEN IS IN TROUBLE"
" s**t, stop yelling and take my post"
I grab my phone out of my pocket I accidently slid it on silent. 14 missed called from Denny.
I call her back
" Mal help me"
" Baby where are you?"
" St. Johns General"
" I'm on my way stay put"
I walk out getting in my Truck and speeding to St. Johns. I walk in and the lady knew exactly who I was she leads me to Denny. Denny is in complete and total Caos her hair is messed up she is in a hospital gown and there are tools laying around her that I know are used for a rape kit.
" s**t, Ardenia what happened"
" I...I stopped for gas I was really upset and forgot to lock my car someone got in the back seat. They carjacked me and they...." She starts sobbing
" I'm sorry I really messed up"
I walk over to her stroking her cheek
" Shhhh, Baby stop I should have made someone go with you"
" I'm so sorry"
I slide my hand to her head stroking her hair and kissing her forehead
" Why where you upset?"
" My friend, she passed away while I was right there with her and I just..." She starts crying again
" Shhh, Baby it's okay"
" Please, please don't tell my dad he will never let me out alone again"
I kiss her head again
" Niether will I baby, I won't tell him everything but I have to tell him about the car jacking okay"
She nods and wraps her arms around me as she cries. The doctors come back in and I excuse myself calling Brandon and getting with the officers about the car jacking.
Officer: " She said she didn't want to report the rape"
" We don't need the publicity, and it is her choice"
They nod and walk off
I wait for the doctor to come back out of Ardenia's room.
" She is ready to go, just make sure she gets some rest."
I nod and walk in taking off my jacket and wrapping it around her body then picking her up and carrying her to my truck. I lean over her and buckle her in she grabs my head as I get back up and kisses me.
" Denny what are you doing?"
" Shut up and kiss me Maliki" I lean back to her kissing her and she wraps around me.
I lean my forehead to hers
" Let's get you home baby, I am going to take you through the service entrance so the stragglers don't see you"
She nods and I take her home carrying her to our room. I sit her down and she wobbles, I grab her waist. And she starts crying
" Shhh baby tell me what you need"
" Shower"
I nod then strip down to my boxers carrying her to the shower and stripping off her clothes. I help wash her up then get out and wrap a towel around her and around myself. Taking her to bed as she leans against me sobbing.
I wake up to a huge crashing sound and turn to it. The new guard we hired 2 weeks ago is standing in shock.
" What the hell are you doing in here?"
" I'm... I'm sorry sir Rosie said Mrs. Denny had a hard night and to bring her breakfast I didn't realize anyone was in here"
" Get the hell out, and get someone to clean up the mess"
Denny groans
" Mal what happened?"
" Nothing baby just the new guy"
I kiss her head and she leans up kissing me I chuckle at her
" I need to get to work baby but I will come check on you later get some rest."
She nods and I get up as Niko comes in with another tray and to clean the mess up.
I head down the stairs and hear Greg the new guy talking to Brandon.
Greg: " Dude did you know the boss is sleeping with Ardenia Carson"
Brandon laughs
" Well yeah man I would hope so"
Greg: " What do you mean, Mr. Carson just lets them sleep together?"
I laugh behind him
" I would hope so, seeing as how she's my wife"

His eyes go wide turning to me
" Your married to Ardenia Carson?"
" Last time I checked yeah"
Denny comes down the stairs and I turn to her
" What are you doing you need to rest"
She smiles
" No I need to work on my thesis so give me a ride to the library"
" Not happening Ardenia go upstairs and rest please."
She wraps her arms around my neck
" It's you or the new guy Mal, either way someone is taking me to the library"
I roll my eyes at her kissing her
" Your a pain in my a$$ you know that"
" Mmhhmm"
" Let's go"
I smile and we leave to the library.
