The first bullet shattered the stained glass window beside the altar and colored shards exploded across the wooden floor while Vincent grabbed my arm and pulled me behind a thick stone pillar. "Stay down." Vincent said. "I noticed they weren't here to talk." I said. A burst of gunfire ripped through the front of the church and old pews splintered beneath the impact while dust drifted down from the ceiling. Vincent glanced toward one of the broken windows. "There are too many." Vincent said as I checked my pistol. "Then we make them pay for every step." I said as a faint smile crossed his face. "You really are my daughter." He said.
