“She hasn’t returned any of your calls yet?” I asked.
“Not yet, I’ve called and texted, yet, no response from her. I’m beginning to get worried” Ember says.
“You shouldn’t, I have a strong feeling she’s fine wherever she is” I replied.
“She should at least reach out to me and say she’s fine then”
“I..um.. called some of my contacts in Raven’s Peak International Airport and there’s no departure for a AVA BAKER of late” I announced “so it means she’s still in Raven’s Peak” I added.
“Do you think it’s time to put out ‘missing person’ posters around town?” Ember asks, her voice breaking.
“Let’s wait till evening, no one goes missing in Raven’s Peak without me noticing” I replied, calm and collected.
