Ellie woke feeling better than she had in a long time. She’d actually slept like the dead. She stretched and rolled over. That wasn’t right. If she rolled over on the couch she’d be on the floor and she definitely wasn’t on the floor. She bounced up like a spring. She was in Adrian’s bed.
She turned, hoping to see his large body stretched out next to hers but the bed was empty. Had he slept with her? Had he forgiven her? Did this mean they were starting again? She had a hundred questions and no one to answer them.
