Chapter 7
Adam had been on the ranch for a month and he loved every minute of his stay. Things had settled into pretty much a routine. They rode almost every day. Adam had become a fair rider. His initial trepidation at getting up on horseback was easily put aside. Betsy and Brendan proved to be excellent trainers. After just a few jolting jogs around one of the corrals, during which Adam clutched the saddle horn and felt as if his balls were being pounded by a meat hammer, he mastered the technique of rising slightly in the stirrups to ease the pressure on those sensitive male areas. In no time he and Brendan on Betsy and Diablo were exploring the far reaches of Needs a Name Ranch on their own, or sometimes accompanied by Gene and Roy, always in the company of Scarlet, Reggie and Shelly.
