Adam sat on the couch in the great room of the ranch house watching the huge 72 inch HD television that was mounted on the wall in front of him. Brendan was stretched out on the sofa with his head on Adam’s lap, dozing. Adam idly stroked Brendan’s hair. Adam surfed through the channels. Nothing seemed to catch his attention. The satellite service Brendan subscribed to offered over two hundred channels. Adam had never understood why you needed that many options.
