Centuries ago were dark and difficult times, the "disease" spread everywhere; This disease made those who contracted it very sensitive to light, to the point of burning them and only wanted to drink blood. It was said to be spread by an animal bite, but the children of the older families knew the truth.
This was not a disease ... these were vampires.
Four of the antique great families came together to fight and annihilate the threat, the Colts, the Stockers, the Fontanas, and the Langleys. They were grandsons of the first vampire hunters that existed and they knew the threat they faced, so they divided up and marched to the different continents to fight to regain the lost peace.
It was a fierce and bloody fight in which they believed they had destroyed all vampires and their creator, but they were wrong.
What those demons were really looking for was an ancient potion called "The Devil's Poison." Created by alchemists when they sought to create the source of eternal life.
This potion was hidden and protected by the Church after the death of the first Pope. "The Devil's Poison" is a two-edged sword, because any human who drank it would die instantly, on the other hand, if a vampire drinks it, he acquires immortality.
The last battle was fought where the potion was hidden...
What happened that night is not known exactly, since it is not recorded in any book; the story was passed from father to son for centuries and was losing part of its essence as it was told until it almost became a legend.
The only reminder of that day for the Descendants of these families were the objects used that day: the Stockers, the Solei dagger; the Fontanas, the Black Book; the Langleys, the Half Moon reliquary; and the Colts, the Key; whose images were adopted as their families family shield.
Each family departed to different continents, vowing to protect the world if the threat ever resurface.
