Claire Mathews was the head pastor's daughter and she was way different from the other girls around her. She had different views and hated being prejudice, she just didn't like the way her town's folk judge people for petty little things like how they dressed,walked, spoke and even 2ho they spoke to. She never really liked holy land and it never liked her too they referred to her as the spoiled pastor's child while the rest of her siblings were just saints. She hoped to leave after highschool, if only her parents would allow it which they would after much persuasion, holy land was just too small for her and she could not imagine the rest of her life in a town where everyone knew everyone ,went to the same school, parties and every other social event. She just had to survive highschool before she could leave. She was walking through hallway to her class and unlike Stephanie her eldest sister, Claire was practicallyv invisible. She had no friends and the only friend she had as a child left before they changed the neighborhood to " Holy land. The perfect society." And she had been missing him ever since he left when he was eleven and her ten. She sat at the back of the class as always. She loved learning as much as she loved to draw and some times doodle during lesson so she sits at the back to prevent interruptions. She was drawing in english class when she heard the teacher say, " Class, we have a new member, Micheal smith." She thought she was imagining the teacher call her childhood friend's name but she wasn't, she confirmed when she looked up . He was standing there with an expression less face. He looked different well,it had been six years and now he wore a earring on his left ear but he seemed changed and didn't even look at her once. She stared at him and didn't notice the rest of the class who knew Micheal and their friendship, switchings looks from her to Micheal as he took a seat at the back opposite her. English went by without Claire paying attention and without her doodling,just glancing at Micheal wondering what changed him and if he didn't recognize her refusing to accept the fact that he chose to ignore her but he did. If there was anything Micheal hoped for when he heard he was going to school here again was that she would have moved or they wouldn't be in the same class but here he was sitting next to her with her starring at him. He wanted to talk to her but there was no point she would most likely not want anything to do with him after she found out who he had become,so he ignored her till the end of the class and left immediately it was over to avoid a conversation. Claire was about to speak to him when he stood up and left without even looking at her. Claire was standing in the parking lot waiting for her sister when Sarah walked by " Hey Claire." She said. " What is it Sarah?" Claire asked rolling her eyes. Sarah was always out to annoy her for as long as she could remember. " I heard Micheal is back. Guess you won't be lonely and one more annoying loser in school." Sarah replied with a smirk and Claire didn't reply as Sarah's comment just made her remember how Micheal ignored her. Sarah walked away angry that she didn't get the reaction she wanted as Stephanie came to drive them home. Stephanie and Brittany her immediate elder sister always had something to talk about since they were so similar in character and looks. They had light brown skin, hazel eyes and jet black hair while she had dark skin, brown eyes and brownish black hair. Stephanie and Brittany were talking as Stephanie drove them home never for once did they try to involve her and for that she was glad even though she kept on thinking about Micheal. They arrived home to meet their mum who asked." How was your day?" " Fine." They all chorused and Claire ran upstairs. She didn't want to be dragged into or listen to another petty chit chat. They had the biggest house in the neighborhood and each if her sisters had rooms of their own making it easier to avoid them. Claire was working on her assignment when she heard a knock on the door. " Come in." She yelled and her mum walked in with a face that read I want to talk to you about something important.
