I finish putting my shoe on, a nd head outside to the noise of a car honking, I look to see Carmen honking the horn repeatedly.

"Shush up! I'm coming lady." I walk extra slowly on purpose and get in the car.

"Come on a snail is faster then you!" She yells driving turning towards the way of the mall.

"Oh shut up." I say rolling my eyes.

I look out the window and think how we haven't talked as much since I met Alex.

"How are you?" I ask, Turning to look at Carmen.

"What?" She laughs confusedly looking over at me then goes back to driving,

"How are you? We haven't had much time since I met Alex."

I see her roll her eyes and sigh

"Now you notice." I look at her confusedly.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

She accelerates the car a little faster, while I clutch the seat belt.

"Slow down Carmen!" I say but she does the opposite and accelerates faster.

"Ever since you and Alex became a thing we haven't seen each other for a long time! It's all I love Alex, Oh look what Alex did for me." I feel a tear slip out of my eye, so is this how she felt?

I really act like that towards her?

I know it's not true because most of the time I was taking care of my mother because she could've died and I would have nobody but Ashton.

"I really haven't been spending time with only Alex, I have a mom with cancer you know who's just know getting better, you haven't been there for me when she was in the hospital I was worried sick and I could've had the support from my best friend but you wanna know something, you weren't there."

I feel more tears slipping down my face but I could care less, Carmen glares at me.

"I wanted to be there but I couldn't, you know how much I try but it's just not good enough for you isn't it?"

She is going way over the speed limit and I shrink back in my seat and control my breathing because I was well on my way to a having a panic attack.

"Slow... Down... Carmen." I say catching my breath.

"Why is this not good enough for you either, well I'm sorry princess."

I felt tears come down my face and I choke back a sob, next thing I know I hear a shrilling noise and everything is like a countdown.

I hear voices, specifically one saying, 'I'm so sorry'

I feel a coursing pain in my rib and I can't feel my limbs, I open my eyes and see blurriness then I see black.

I try to open my eyes but I see black and hear yelling voices, they sound so familiar but I don't know who they are, I then hear a slight... heart monitor?
