Chapter 4

He left that day and only visited Gautham's house a few times after that. He had come to see her. She stopped taking his pictures from Gautham's phone but he had followed her back on i********:. His account was private but now she had access to it.

There were a lot of pictures. his pictures with his friends but one of the pictures caught her eyes. There were pictures of him with a girl. She was with the guys and some pictures were them alone. Her blood boiled looking at it.

Gautham was passing by when he saw her on her laptop stalking him.

"that girl is his girlfriend," Gautham said looking at her disappointed face.

"Jk. that's Divya. She is a classmate and well....don't tell amma and Appa but we are dating."He said.

"oh. then why does she have pictures with him?" she asked.

"um...so...they assume themselves being the best sister and brother and try to irritate me. He listens to her more than me. she came in stealing my best friend but she is my Girlfriend so its a win-win situation where my best friend thinks of her as a sister." he said.

"Nice. um...Anna...When is Arun coming here?" She asked as a knock was heard.

she looked at Gautham's face and ran to the door fixing her messy hair.

She opened the door and found Anand standing there.

"Hey sister, Is Gautham there?" He asked.

"Machi... Where is Arun?" Gautham asked as Anand looked down.

"He... He got into an Accident." Anand said as Kavya's heart broke.

"Come, let's go to the hospital. Man, his parents don't know about it. They are busy with their business." Anand said.

"I am coming," she said.

"Um...Kavya...it may not..be a good idea for you to..." he started.

"Shut up."She said as she got on the back of his bike as he took off.

When they got there, they found him on the bed with his eyes wide awake. he had taken his shirt off and was half naked. He turned to find kavya with them and smiled. Divya was already there.

Kavya smiled at Divya who smiled back confused. Divya looked at Gautham reassured her with a smile. Kavya looked at Arun whose eyes were staring intently at her.

"Anna...You can go talk to your girlfriend. Anand anna, if you don't mind going outside with Gautham and..."She started as Arun looked at her confused.

"Ok..Ok..carry on," Gautham said pulling Divya with him and Anand followed with a knowing smile.

'Why did you..."Arun started as she walked near him.

"Close your eyes."She said.

"Why?" he asked.

"I said close it."She said as he closed his eyes.

He suddenly felt her soft lips on his forehead as he opened his eyes.

"Don't worry, you will get well soon."She said looking everywhere but him. He was shocked by her behavior.

She turned to leave as he pulled her hands.

"Hey....you came in, You randomly kiss me on the forehead and then you...just say get will soon and leave. Are you ok?" he asked.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"You are too young to be in love Kavya. Do you not understand? You are 17...Don't repeat this ever again." He said as she hid her tears.

"Focus on getting to college. Your journalism...BBC. Then think about love." He said.

She walked out with no reply. She thought he liked her. Gautham was wrong. She didn't answer anybody, she went outside the hospital

"What did you do?" Gautham asked coming inside pissed.

"I told her to focus on her studies," Arun said.

"Bro...are you kidding me? Why would you."Gautham started.

"do you not care about your sister? I never said I don't like her."He said as she came back in.

They stared at her as she came to grab her phone and left without saying anything.

"Ok...She is confirmed mad at you. She heard it but had acted as she ignored it so that means she is still mad."He said.

"She waited for me 3 years cant she wait till she is 20 at least?" Arun asked.

"Which is another 3 years bro," Divya said.

"We kinda saw her kissing you through the door."Divya smiled.

"Oh..that's her first kiss...to any guy so...keep that in mind," Gautham said.

"Um..as if many had kissed me before," Arun said as the other laughed.

Days passed as Kavya stopped talking to Arun. Even when he came home, She would go to her room or will ignore him. She mentally wanted to torture him for acting as if he hates her.

Arun started to feel insecure about this love. He just hoped she will get better soon.

2 years later, One day Kavya came home from college and found a message from her dad that he took her mom to the ancestral house and will be back the next day if they don't return by tonight.

It was almost 9:00 and Gautham was also away. At 9:30, she heard the door open as Gautham and Arun came in. She ignored Arun as Gautham's phone rang.

"Hello Amma?" he said as Kavya looked up.

"What? Who are you?" Gautham said as his face tensed. As soon as he cut the call, a tear fell from his eyes.

"Gautham...Ennachu?" Arun asked as Kavya stood there shocked. She couldn't move.

"My parents...They...are Dead." He said as Kavya fainted.

"Kavya..."Arun ran and caught her. When she woke up a tear left her eyes at first but the tears grew more as seconds passed.

"Amma...please...Gautham...you are lying." She grabbed Gautham's shirt as he pets her hair.

"Kavya listen."Gautham tried to console her but he started wailing like a baby after giving up.

Arun touched Gautham's shoulders as Gautham hugged Arun.

"It's ok...everything will be fine," he said as he touched kavya's head while hugging Gautham.

When her parents were coming back home, they had met with an Accident. A truck had come and hit them which caused the death of both their parents.

Soon the funeral took place and a few days passed but it was days since kavya ate. She missed her mom and dad so badly.

Arun saw her asleep on the sofa as he entered the house. Gautham was in the room and came out as Arun called him.

"Dei...you should return back..you know you have to. Did kavya go back to college yet?" He asked.

"she didn't even eat to even care about her college," he said.

"She didn't eat?" he asked.

He went to wake her up as she looked at him.

"You are eating and that's final," he said as Gautham brought her a plated of Dosa and sambhar.

"I am not hungry." She said.

"Sure you are not." He said as he forcefully fed her.

She soon ate finished eating after that.

"darling, If you won't eat, I will come here 3 times a day and feed you," he said as she looked at him blankly.

soon days passed and it was getting better. Kavya was starting to become normal all over again. She forgot all about Arun's rejection because of how much he started taking care of her now. They seemed to be very close now.

"Kavya...Come on. You gonna be late."Arun said as he came inside.

"Wait. Arun," she said as he smiled at her.

"What?" she asked.

"You are going to go to college like this?" he asked.

"Ya...Why?" she asked.

"Go look at yourself on the mirror." He said as she ran to the mirror.

Because she showered early and was working on her project that involves pain, there was paint on her face. She wiped it off as she came downstairs.

He laughed as she got on his bike. She held onto his shoulders as he drove. She suddenly hugged him as soon as she felt like was gonna fall off.

"Looks like Ms.BBC who is not scared of anything is scared of something." He said.

"Shut up," she said.

Soon he dropped her at college and went to his college. There wasn't a name that was stable for their relationship. One second It seems to be love and the other it was friendship.

They both knew they liked each other but they had not said anything. Now the two had been busy with their professions and they waited for the other to tell their love.
