Chapter 3

LAYDEN

'She's beautiful...'  As if feeling my stare, she turned to look at me and I felt as if I was in a trance. Time started slowly down, the people around us were moving slowly but my eyes were focused on her. A new feeling surged through my body along with a feeling to protect her, cherish her, do anything for her. She was leaning against a wall while her blonde friend was talking to her. It looked like the blonde was trying to convince her to do something. Dance maybe? As I thought of that sexy body dancing against mine... I felt my d**k twitch. Woah wasn't expecting that! I moved my body a bit to hide it from the guys as I continued to stare at her. She was wearing a short, black leather dress that made her body look scrumptious. She had curves and a rack I just wanted to burying my face into. I didn't know I started walking towards her until I felt my body being held back.

"Hey, dude? What cha staring at?" Beau asked as he tried to follow me gaze. Within the time I turned my head to Beau and back in her direction, she was gone. I looked around in slight panic.

'Where did she go? I mean... not that I care. She's just some woman.'

"I told him he would find his soul mate here!" Carter chimed in from behind me. He slapped my shoulder. "Atta boy!"

"It's nothing. She's gone anyway."

"You scared her off, dunce!" Justin said and wacked Carter upside the head.

"And to think Layden was gonna get laid!" Gordan said as he put his palm to his face.

"Don't feel bad, Gorda," I reassured him, "I doubt she was the one anyway."

"You don't need to find the one to get laid, bro." Beau said as we walked to the pool table.

ELLECK

I raced to the bathroom.

'What the FUCK...?' I heard Embr close behind me.

"E, wait! What happened?" I get into a bathroom stall and slam it shut behind me, locking it. I breathed heavily. This feeling... hurts. Like a ton of bricks are crushing my chest!

'What the absolute f**k!' I punched the only stone wall in the stall, making it crack a bit.

(Earlier, Elleck's POV)

This sucks. Everything sucks. I just want to get back to the ship and listen to some Earth music but my partner insisted on bringing me to a DAMN NIGHTCLUB! I hate the way these Earthlings dress. This dress leaves nothing to the imagination, these shoes make my feet hurt and are constantly making me trip over my own feet and run into everyone! The only thing I like about this place is how loud the music is. The lights aren't bad either. Embr handed me my drink. It was pink. I raised an eyebrow at it.

"Try it! It's mixed with frozen pink lemonade! I cautiously bring my lips to the straw and sip. Sour pink slush drizzled down my throat. I put it on the table next to me and gave it a shrug.

"Eh. It's not bad."

"Wanna try mine?" She asked as she took another sip. "Its got coconut." My eyes widened a bit. I like coconut. I took a small sip and secretly wanted her drink instead. Embr put her drink down. "We should dance!"

"Pass." I said as I took another sip of my drink.

"Dude, seriously? Why come to a club and not dance?"

"Need I remind you, I didn't want to come."

"Well, there's no turning back now is there?"

"Actually..."

"No turning back!" I rolled my eyes as I looked upon the crowd. Look at these humans. I still can't believe they're my sub species. I mean, what does that planet even have? Besides great music, nothing! They haven't even evolved that far yet! Pyrite is a stone fire planet and at LEAST 5 trillion years old and this planet is no more than a 6 billion year old planet of dirt? Yippee... I had a feeling someone was watching me. I looked up and found a pair of sapphire blue eyes staring at me. Suddenly, everything froze. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't move. Images of me and this man start appearing in my head like I've known him my whole life. My chest started burning and the feeling spread to my face and the rest of my body. I have to go.

'Snap out of it!' I mentally slapped myself out of my trance and ran towards the bathroom before Embr had a chance to say anything.

(Present  Time)

"Elleck..." I heard my partner ask on the other side of the door. I took a deep breath.

'Get it together...'

"I-I'm fine." I got out of the stall to face my partner.

'I know this is nothing. I've had random surges of power before. This is nothing new.' Embr gave me a weird look.

"You've never ran out of a room like that before." Breathe. This sudden burst of energy is overwhelming but I can't stay here.

"Can we go to a different club?"

"Different club? The only other place I would want to go to is one in Seattle."

"Perfect! Let's go!" I urged as I walked out of the bathroom towards the exit. As I was walking through the crowd of people, I felt something shock my wrist. I looked back and caught sight of those irresistible blue eyes before walking out of the building. Embr and I walked behind the building and made sure we were alone before we pushed a few numbers on our wrists before our bodies evaporated from once they stood.
