A Room Full of Rockingchairs

Adonis I hated events. I hated the stuffiness and all the fake love being displayed. In this business everyone only cares about themselves and their pockets. This particular event was much smaller than the ones we were used to throwing. It's simply a dinner with our business partners and staff to commemorate the hotels opening under new management. The dinner started a hour ago and I just walked in. My eyes immediately scanned the room for my red headed British beauty. "You are disgustingly late" Klaus reprimanded Like always, his hair was perfectly slicked back. He was wearing a dark purple three piece suit with a pale yellow dress shirt. He was nervously fidgeting with his rings, he wore seven of them at fancy events, one for each color in the rainbow. Klaus was notoriously proud of his sexuality and individualism. "Are you nervous baby brother?" I asked raising an eyebrow. "Boy, bye. I am never nervous. I own my shit." He snapped, fidgeting with his rings again. "Okay, I haven't seen her. I texted Yandy and she hasn't responded. I've seen the french girl but I have yet to seen Evie. I thought the Brits were sticklers for punctuality" He blurted out, taking a deep breath. "I'm not going to go postal." I chuckled. Klaus let out a deep sigh, relief washing over his features. "We'll just be having a lot of creole food and desserts while we're in town" I shrugged as a smile crept across Klaus' face. "Hey sugar!" A cheery voice said from the side of us. She was a younger girl with big green eyes and bangs, holding a tray of champagne. "Hey girl!" Klaus said happily before lightly embracing her. "I heard you meet Jaqui, whew" she said laughing. "Oh honey, she's intense," Klaus joked, taking a flute of champagne for himself before handing one to me. My mind began to wander but was immediately drawn back to their conversation. "Isn't Evie just the sweetest little thing?" she said smiling sweetly. "Oh yes. She's so beautiful it's sickening. And she can bake a hell of a soufflé. I heard she was supposed to be here?" Klaus said not skipping a beat. He always gets the information he wants. I say he's a glutton for gossip, he calls it knowledge. "Oh she's here. Poor thing is like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. She hates being in the public. She's stalling I would assume." She said softly. "Well, I should make my rounds. Come back to The Bayou and see us! You should try her beignets next time." "Ofcourse honey." Klaus said before nodding and taking a sip of his champagne. As the girl began to walk past me, she stopped and placed her hand on my arm. "If you want to have a real conversation with Evie, I would sweep her out of Jaqui's sight as quickly and quietly as possible" she whispered before giving me a wink and walking to another group of people. I was planning my escape when a icy hand gripped my arm. "Donnie bear, I've been looking all over for you" Mona Lisa smiled, running her hand up and down my arm. My jaw tightened as I clenched my teeth. My feelings of disgust vanished as quickly as they came once I laid eyes a flash of red hair, shuffling through the crowd. She was struggling to keep the tray upright, her eyes glued to the ground. "Babe?" Mona Lisa said a little louder, trying to get my attention. I handed her my glass and she smiled. But that quickly vanished when I took her hand and placed it in Klaus'. Without another word, I made my way to Evie. She was like a magnet, pulling me close. I stopped infront of her, and she never looked up. "S-sorry, excuse me" she whimpered, trying to go around me. I couldn't stop the goofy grin spreading across my face as I side stepped to block her way again. "What the hell?" she said before slowly trailing her eyes up my body. I'd be a liar if I said her lingering gaze didn't do something to the fire growing in my lower abdomen. Her eyes crept up my body at a agonizingly slow pace, and when her eyes reached mine, her face reddened. "Oh f**k me" she said, barely a whisper. Those three words sent my self control spiraling. I couldn't stop myself from closing the distance between us and lightly grabbing her waist. I pulled her closer and licked my lips. "Say that again" I growled in her ear. She got even more flustered, causing me to laugh slightly. Her innocence is so adorable. "What are you doing here?" she whispered, looking around to see if anyone was paying attention to us. "You wanna get out of here?" I asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. I didn't know what I was going to say once I saw her, and I definitely didn't intend to leave, but something about her makes me lose all inhibitions. Sure I wanted to do X-Rated things to her body, but this was much more than that. I wanted to be with her and only her. "God yes" she admitted. "Wait, and go where? I'm not going to fall in your bed" she warned, looking in my eyes with confidence. Another chuckle escaped from my chest as I took her tray. I handed it to whoever was walking past us, she laughed in disbelief as one of the hotel managers looked at me in shock. I grabbed her hand and led her to a back door. We walked up a flight of steps and into a day suite, one we used to house important people while they waited to be summoned to a conference room. Her eyes darted around, taking in the expensive suite, as I pulled her to the balcony. She let out a deep breath and closed her eyes as the wind hit her skin. I stood there, admiring her as her beautiful red hair swayed softly in the wind. "Can I have my hand back?" she asked smiling, but never opening her eyes. "Do you want it back? Really?" I questioned, bringing it up to my lips and placing soft kisses on her knuckles. "Not really" she said softly, staring into my eyes. "Your eyes are amazing. Your smile is stunning. Everything about you is perfect" I said pulling her closer. Her body was flush against mine and her cheeks reddened, causing her to immediately look to the ground. I lifted her chin up, forcing her to look at me. "Never be shy around me. Those gorgeous eyes never belong on the ground. I want to see them every chance I get" I whispered against her lips. I placed my other hand on her waist, gently pulling her as close as our bodies would allow. She reached up and pulled my neck down so my lips touched hers, before allowing me to take control. Our slow kissing soon turned passionate as I gripped her hair. A soft moan came from her mouth, allowing me to slip my tongue in. She welcomed it, massaging my tongue with hers. I picked her up and her legs instantly wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer. She grinded against my raging b***r, making me grunt in pleasure. Her hands frantically reached for the buttons on my vest and mine trailed up her thighs and on the outside of her soaking wet panties. She moaned when my thumb grazed her sweet spot, making me even harder than I already was. The last button on my shirt was undone and she bit her bottom lip as she grazed her hands over every inch of my abs. She pushed her pelvis against me as I began sucking on her neck. Then my phone started ringing, ruining the moment. "f**k" we both muttered. We stopped and stared at each other before our laughter filled the room. "Answer it" she said smiling, trying to sit up. I shook my head and reached in between her legs, slowly rubbing the outside of her panties. Her sweet moans filled the room, before my ringing phone once again interrupted us. She laughed and pushed me off, smoothing down her wild red hair. I groaned when Klaus name and picture popped up on my screen. "Donnie!" he shrieked as I winced and held the phone away from my ear. Her soft giggles filled my heart with joy. "Where are you? You show up a hour late, you show face for three minutes, now you're m.i.a. AGAIN! We're waiting to start dinner, where on earth are you?" He rambled. "On my way" I said sighing before hanging up. I ran my hand through my hair and looked over to Evie. She looked so perfect, sitting with her legs folded beneath her. She has a sweet smile on her face as she tucked her hair behind her ears. "So, I should be off then" She said jumping off the couch and bolting out the door. I wanted to stop her, atleast walk down stairs with her, but I figured I'd see her at the dinner with the other servers. I slowly walked into the large dining room and sat at the head of the table. There were two long tables, each sat about 20 people. I avoided eye contact with Klaus as he glared at me. He was probably waiting for me to address everyone but there was no way that was happening. I was only here for one thing, well, one person. Klaus sighed and stood up. "Thank you everyone for coming" He started, but I tuned him out. The servers started filing in the room, carrying trays of delicious smelling food. I can't believe I actually have butterflies in my stomach as I waited to spot her. The butterflies soon turned into knives when I realized she wasn't in the room. A frown instantly formed on my face as plates were being placed on the tables. Klaus gave me a questioning look, but I ignored him, getting ready to stand up. Just then a plate was practically thrown in front of me. I looked up and seen the french girl, staring daggers into me. She smiled sweetly and leaned over, adjusting the plate. "I know who and what you are. Evie's a good girl, she won't be another notch in your bedpost. Stay the f**k away from her" she hissed, the smile never leaving her face. She then stood up straight and turned to leave with the other servers. I wanted to get up and leave, to look for Evie, but I knew I had to be somewhat present at this dinner. I pushed my food around my plate as people tried to make small talk. Klaus took control of the conversations as usual, putting his wits and charm on full display. Thank goodness he put Mona Lisa at the other table because I would've went berserk if I had to endure five minutes with her. Once the second course was brought out, I could feel Jaqui staring holes into me. But all I could think of was Evie. "Excuse me" I said rising from the table and walking out of the hotel. I had no clue where she might be, but my feet led me to The Bayou. I lit a cigarette as I saw Yandy locking the front doors as I walked up to her, unsure of what to say. "Hey stud." She said with her strong southern drawl, not looking up from the locks. I stood there awkwardly, trying to figure out the best way to ask for Evie's address without looking like a stalker. "Come on, I'll show you to her apartment. But you didn't get this info from me" she said smiling. "Thanks" I said, taking another drag of my cigarette, waiting for her to lead the way. "She's a good girl Mr. Vincent. Don't you think she's a little small time for your fast and wild lifestyle?" Yandy questioned as we walked. "Adonis. And although my intentions might not be pure in the traditional sense, I know she's different. I can feel it. There's something about her" I started but then trailed off. I do not pour my heart out. Especially not to some social media princess. So I got the cigarette to stop myself from talking anymore. "You guys will get along great. She's a woman of few words too" she chuckled. "Listen, all I'm saying is, if you don't intend on doing right by her, leave her be. She deserves the world, and all the good that comes from it, not the scandal." she said before stopping at a shifty looking apartment complex. "3F. By the way, she's weird and doesn't have any social media. She doesn't even own a tv, bless her heart. So if I were you, I'd lay it all out, tell her what to expect. Good luck Mr. Vincent" Yandy said patting me on the shoulder before walking off. "Adonis" I called while thinking about what she said. "Oh no Mr. Vincent. You're spoken for and unless your lady says I can call you something else, you will be addressed as Mr. Vincent" she said winking before turning around again. I followed her gaze as they landed on a open window on the third floor. I could see smoke puffing into the crisp fall air. A small smile crept across my face as I stomped out my cigarette. Well, here goes nothing. Evie After being interrupted in that fancy conference room, I had one thing on my mind. Getting the hell out of there. I'll have to make it up to Yandy some other way. The grey eyed god offered to walk me down, but I assured him I could find my way. He must be someone important, or atleast come from money. He sure walked around like he owned the place. I bolted down the stairs, and towards the exit. I was putting my hair into a bun when I collided with a brick wall. "Bloody hell. I'm terribly sorry," I babbled, looking up at a blonde, muscular figure. "Whoa, whoa, where's the rush my lady?" He asked in a terrible English accent. "I left my fridge open, I've got to hurry before the milk spoils" I said before I could stop myself. His sky blue eyes flashed in amusement before he let out a hearty laugh. "No wonder Adonis is smitten by you. You're funny!" He exclaimed looking me up and down. But not in a pervy way, it was more as if he was finally putting a name to a face. Adonis, could he be talking about the silver eyed warlock who's overtaken my every thoughts? "I thought you had milk to save" he said amused, breaking me from my thoughts. "Oh that, yes. Good evening." I said hastily before darting out of the double doors. The cool air felt good against my skin as I speed walked towards my apartment. With shaky hands, I pulled out my pack of cigarettes, only to find my lighter missing. I groaned, hugging my body tightly. The once cool breeze turned bitter, making me shiver under the moonlight. I finally made it to the apartment and dragged my feet up the stairs. Once I entered our warm apartment, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. A smile tugged on my lips as I recounted the events that took place earlier. "Adonis" I whispered, my smile growing larger. What a fitting name. I made my way to my room, pulling off my uniform. I changed into a black crop top and black biker shorts, and let down my hair. My hand subconsciously moving to my aching core. I couldn't shake the warm and aching feeling of his tongue on mine, or his hands roaming across my body. I shuddered as I slipped a hand over my soaked underwear, desperately wishing it was his hands down there. My breath hitched as I rubbed my bundle of nerves, his piercing grey eyes never leaving my thoughts. I moaned as I rubbed faster bringing myself closer to release. Just then a loud bang from upstairs ruined all hope I had of getting off. With a frustrated grunt I hopped out of bed and stomped over to the window. "Assholes. Don't they know what time it is? What's a girl got to do to get some peace and quiet around here?" I grumbled to myself. I grabbed a lighter and cigarette and pulled open the window. If Jaqui knew I was smoking in here, she'd kill me. I took a drag and my nerves were instantly soothed. I sat at the window smoking with my eyes closed, Adonis was consuming every part of me consciousness. "Good lord, Im completely knackered." I laughed shaking my head. A pounding on the front door broke me from my thoughts, almost giving me a heard attack in the process. Did someone call the cops because I was smoking in here? Or maybe it was Yandy, she must have found out that I left the party. Dread filled me as I slowly walked over to the door. I looked through the peephole but it was dark, as if a hand was covering it. "W-who is it?" I cautiously asked. After a few moments of silence, my nerves were on edge. I slowly began to back away before the voice on the other side instantly soothed my soul. "It's the big bad wolf, Red." Adonis called. I couldn't stop the smile from taking over my face as I threw open the door. There he was, the stunning greek god, looking sexy as ever. His hair was wild from the wind, his jacket was thrown over his shoulder and his vest and shirt was almost completely undone. His eyes shamelessly traveled up and down my body, and he licked his lips as he took me in. "Are you gonna invite me in?" He asked in a low voice, sending a shiver down my spine. "Oh, ofcourse, come in." I said. He took two steps and he was in front of me, wrapping his large hands around my waist. Tingles erupted through my body sending signals to my already wet core. He roughly pulled me closer, peppering small kisses along my jawline. A small moan escaped my lips as he rubbed my waist, pushing his hard length against my s*x. My hands traveled up and down his torso, tracing his perfectly sculpted muscles. Our lips connected, as we frantically tasted each other. His tongue dominated mine, exploring every inch of my mouth. I moaned as he effortlessly picked me up and wrapped my legs around his torso, pinning my back to the wall. "If I don't stop now, I won't be able to" He said breathlessly breaking our kiss. Now I was stuck in between a rock and a hard place, literally and figuratively. In all honesty, I wasn't sure if I wanted to stop. But I barely know this strange man, and as tempting as he is, should I be running into bed with someone I barely know? I do not partake in one night stands and Adonis seems like the quintessential playboy who couldn't be tied down. I couldn't help the full and content feeling my heart got everytime I was near him. My tongue must not have gotten the memo of my uncertainty. "So don't" I whispered, staring into his grey eyes. A sexy smile appeared across his lips and that was all the confirmation he needed as he carried me towards the bedroom.
