Date night

"We'll be back before 11:00 pm, take care of your siblings." Mom said sternly pointing her index finger at me.
"Okay sure." I said with a small smile.
"You're almost done with college two more years." It was as though it was her not me.
"Yeah, you look lovely." I showed off my pearly white teeth. Mom and dad are going on a date, for the fourth time this week, leaving me with those tiny monsters.
She is wearing a lovely short sleeve blue fitted dress reaching just below her knee.
"What about me?" Dad asked as he entered the living room holding one of the monsters.
"You look dashing." He really was looking good, in his dress pants and black shirt.
"Thank you." He put down a five year old Oscar who rushed to hug mom's knees.
"We'll be back soon," She said as she picked him up and kissed him on his cheeks. "Don't give your sister any trouble and do exactly as she says, always listen to her, same goes to your brother." Dad instructed and he nodded his head vigorously.
A twelve years old Meadow came rushing into the living room, mom put down Oscar and bent down pulling Meadow who was grinning ear to ear into a bear hug.
"Can I please come with you?" She asked with a puppy eyes.
"No sweetheart, we'll be back soon." Mom said successfully wiping the grin off her face.
"Bye Del." Mom said to the dweeb, I turned to look at her, she was standing behind the couch.
"Bye mom." She responded with a wave.
"Take this," mom put down Meadow and brought something out from her purse, it was an envelope and handed it to me "don't open it yet, you may do so tomorrow." She flashed me a smile, I took it from her and stared at it.
"We'll miss you all so much." Mom said tearing up a bit.
"Its just a date mom, you're both going on a date and you'll see us when you get back, and you don't have to go if you don't want to." Del said with a raised brow.
"We love you and we will always be with you, you all are strong together, never part ways always stay together. And Saffron, take care of your siblings, you can do this take charge, be strong." She ignored her and they both left leaving us stunned.
"I'll go make dinner." Del said and left.
"Why don't you too go watch cartoon or play." They beamed at the idea and jumped to the front of the TV.
What just happened was weird really weird, I hope its nothing.
I'm Saffron Williams, a twenty years old college student, I have three annoying siblings, Del who is sixteen and still in high school, Meadow and Oscar. We are currently in San Jose California, we lived in a small town called 'Willows way'
I went to my room and turned on the TV, a little distraction from earlier' really weird event, it did the trick, I watched Godzilla vs King kong, he bows to no one.

An hour later.
"Dinner is ready." Del called from the door.
"I'll be down soon, I need to watch this till the end." I said focused.
"But you've watched it before, get your ass downstairs." She said sternly.
"I'll be there soon." She rolled her eyes and left. After the movie ended thirty minutes later I went downstairs to have dinner, I met Del in the living room pressing her phone and the monsters were playing.
I went to the dining and spotted spaghetti and chicken, I dug in, it was delicious, Del is a great cook, as soon as I was done I heard my phone ringing in my pocket, I took it out and looked to see who was calling, the caller brought a smile to my face.
"Hey loser." I greeted in a high pitched tone as I carried my plate to the kitchen.
Its my best friend Timber.
"Saffron my guy! How you doing?" He greeted back.
"I'm cool, what's up?"
"Fine, was just bored so I decided to call you and also to inform you that I'm moving and bring enrolled into another college." He said and paused.
Did I hear him right? No way!!
"What!!! You can't leave me in this town, you're my best friend, you're the only friend I have in this town please don't leave me!" I felt my heart sink into my stomach at this news.
"I'm sorry, its not my choice, my old man got a new job that's why we are relocating." He said in a sad tone.
"Oh fudge!!" I sigh in defeat.
"I'll miss you bud." He said quietly.
"Which town are you moving to?" Maybe I can convince mom and dad to let us also move there.
"Aurora hills, the town is a small one, a bit larger than this one though." He stated.
"Okay, when are you leaving?" I want to know how much longer I have to say good bye.
"Tomorrow noon."
"What! So soon! Why didn't you tell me this earlier?!!" I was in distress right now.
"I'm sorry, I had a lot going on it totally skipped my mind."
"Ugh! This sucks!!" We've been friends since we were three, this really sucks!! He is like a brother to me.
"This doesn't mean we won't be friends anymore right?"
"Right." I reassured him.
"Maybe you can come bid me fair well tomorrow." He suggested.
"Sure, we are on holiday anyways, so I can come spend a week with you soon."
"Sounds good, I have to finish packing we'll talk later."
"Bye." I said and hung up.
"Who is moving?" Del asked as she joined me in the kitchen.
"Timber, they are relocating to a new town called Aurora hills." I said hurt.
"I know that town, a lot of weird s**t goes down there." She said crossing her arms over her chest.
"You've been there before?" I raised my brow at her.
"Yeah, went there to see a friend of mine Jabria, do you remember her?"
"That hippo?" I asked with a raised brow.
"She is not a hippo she's just chubby that's all." She defended looking at upset.
"Yeah whatever, have you sent Oscar and Meadow to bed?"
"Yeah, what do you think mom meant by all those things she said? Can't just wrap my head around it." She said looking really concerned. Just when I thought I've forgotten about it.
"I don't know." I told her as I brought out a bottle of water and gulped it down.
"What's in the envelope she gave you?" She asked coming closer to me.
"I've not opened it yet, she said not to till tomorrow morning."
"Aren't you curious?" She stared right at me.
"Not as curious as you are, it's probably nothing don't fuss about it." I assured her. She should drop it and I don't want to start thinking something else.
"I feel uneasy." She said, she was fidgeting and she looked really anxious.
I'm not really good with all these emotional stuff.
"Relax its alright, they will be back soon everything is fine." I assured her with a smile and a squeeze on her shoulder.
"Okay." She said in a low voice. Del is the out spoken kind, she gets along well with everyone, she's jovial and fun to be with.
She doesn't get angry often but when she does, you won't even be able to stand five feet close to her, she is basically a ticking time bomb.
"Go watch a movie or go play your piano or something."
"I don't want to." As soon as she said that I let out a loud gasp, and looked at her in disbelief.
"Did I just hear Del say she doesn't want to play her piano?" I said gasping even more, she bite her lip and kept her gaze fixed on me. "I can't believe my ears! I never thought I would hear you say that." I said as I recovered from my shock.
"Its not that I don't want to, I'm just not in the mood to." She said putting her black locks behind her ears.
"Then go chat on w******p or twitter or go on **, go do something." I suggested. She let out a sigh and walked away to her room.
I should have said something to cheer her up but I'm not the emotional kind alright.
