The run to St Janie’s Hospital took two hours in our wolf form, longer than expected because of Dynamite’s healing foot. Luckily, our entrance to the hospital stood on the outskirts of our borders, so we could avoid humans. But once we were on the hospital grounds, we had to remain in the shadows, remembering that St Janie’s was a werewolf and human hospital, and there were human homes over the field that separated our borders. When we reached the hospital grounds, Dynamite’s foot was almost completely healed.
In a flash, we shed a wolf form, transformed into our human form, and slipped through the shadows. The wind whipped around me, a familiar chill that always seemed sharper after shifting.
