It felt like a bomb was dropped in the room at my announcement. I could feel the coldness and shock practically oozing off all of them as they stared at me in silence. My jaw clenched as I stood my ground, head held high and refusing to back down. If taking matters into my own hands was what I had to do to get things straight then I would do it dutifully.
I had no idea what the hell was up with Christian, but I couldn't just sit there while he made us both look like fools. If he didn't want to help me, then I would help myself.
