CHAPTER SEVENThe ballroom had been decorated on one wall with brightly coloured wallpaper.
Even at one glance the Earl could see that it was exactly what he wanted.
When it was put on all the walls, it would certainly make the ballroom not only outstanding but very beautiful and graceful.
In fact he thought that the wallpaper was so original that people would be astonished and enthralled when the room was complete.
For a moment, however, he just stood gazing at it.
Then he was aware that both Mr. Forest and Joanna were staring at him and waiting almost breathlessly for his approval.
“I could only say,” the Earl remarked finally, “it is magnificent. It might have been especially designed for this room.”
