Chapter 9 - Break Up

"Morning, little bear. Breakfast is ready, eat it" he made scrambled eggs and put bread roast, milk in a breakfast plate, and put it on the bed. I smiled thanks, and went to the bathroom to brush and ate breakfast in my room. When I checked the time it is already quarter past 10, Jack must have silenced alarm, he is in the same t-shirt as yesterday figured he skipped jogging too. I took the plate to the kitchen to wash it, and I heard a familiar voice, it's Sophia.

The tall girl, with the long shining and straight blonde hair, with correct figures who is in love with my brother. They started dating six months ago. She works in some three star hotel as a chef. They met accidentally and now they are in love. According to all of our friends, she is perfect for Jack. They would make the perfect couple. But for me, to my eyes, they aren't. I'm the one who is perfect for him. I know it's insane, oh jeez, I want to do something, so I went to the kitchen when they are flirting with each other.

"Hi Sophia, morning, can't live without my brother for a day, would ya?" I asked in a false mock.

She smiled and kissed him, I turned my head away because I don't want to see it.

"No," she confirmed.

"He really loves you so much or else he wouldn't have missed the family dinner last Wednesday, by the sound of you on the phone I bet you enjoyed the night too." I lied. I know he was with me last Wednesday when she called him to come, he refused by saying he got work and watched movie with me before he went to his room for whatever work he did. After the lie I just told, I'd expected Jack to get angry. But he stays silent on the contrary. Sophia was so shocked, and tears are already forming in her eyes, and I feel guilty for doing this. I opened my mouth to say I was just kidding, but before that, Sophia took a hand full of my brother's shirt and said "I'm done with you, after all, I have done so much for you, you just cheated on me and lied to your family that you were with me when you were screwing someone, you have never been the one I want, I tried to change you but I couldn't. And now you are fooling around on my back. How could you do this?" She asked while her tears are falling uncontrollably. I can't see this anymore.

"Sophia, I was.." I started but stopped by my brother "Don't. It's better this way. Let her." he said.

She removed her hands from him and walked away.

I don't know whether I wanted this or not. But I knew I have to apologize to Jack for what I have done. I will explain to Sophia later and I will reunite them, I just became a shitty person.

"I'm sorry," I said ashamed. it doesn't even cover what I did and what I feel for it. Granted, I don't like them together, but it's what Jack wants, I will never be in their way.

"Thanks for doing this," he said genuinely. We both interpreted at the same time.

"I'm really sorry, I wasn't expecting her to fall for it."I truly wanted to make fun of them or a little jealousy fight but not break up when they are truly love in each other. I will do anything to fix it. "I will meet her and explain everything to her." I also wondering why did her let go and why he didn't follow her when he is love in with her. Does he really cheat on her? I mentally slapped myself for the last question. He will never do that, he always respects everyone. Disloyalty is never a part of him.

"No, don't. I wanted to break up with her too. All our friends do. I really don't know how to do it without breaking her heart. She is so sensitive I don't want to hurt her. That's the only reason I'm still with her, well was now. Don't feel sorry for anything. If you think you did something, what you did is good for both of us. We both are not healthy for each other." He said like it's no big deal. It feels it's so un him. I don't get a lot from what he said
