It didn’t take long for me to realize I was dreaming: I was back at the beach, the collapsed tents and broken tables littering the sands around me as I slowly stood. The dress I was wearing was different from the one I had worn at the wedding, and I picked at the dark purple fabric with confusion. I had been watching the entrance to the small cave where I and Kisten sat, trying to keep an eye out for danger as the Grimm prowled above us. I suppose it only made sense that eventually exhaustion would overpower me, and I cradled my head as a flash of pain ran through my skull. “…Ven.” I turned as I heard my name, and almost immediately fell back into the sands as I scrambled to run away. It took a moment for me to realize the statue was not alive and I laughed at my own fear as I stood again
