Tia The quiet hum of the hospital machines is oddly comforting, a steady rhythm against the turmoil in my heart. The weight of exhaustion pressed down on me, and I let my eyes drift shut, my fingers still lightly curled around Adrian’s hand. Just a few minutes. Just a short rest.
