"Congratulations bro, finally you got married to your mystery lady, Gina said beaming with happiness as she rolled her wheelchair into my room.

"Thanks kiddo , I replied happily recalling our wedding.

I can't believe I married Tia Winters. I have being waiting for this moment since I was 11 years old.

I promised myself I will find that beautiful girl who stopped at nothing to save me even putting herself in danger to save me and make her my wife.

I was kidn*pped when I was 11 years old alongside my entire class and during the gruesome time we were in captivity I had an allergy attack because the kidnappers took us to the mountains and I am allergic to some plants.

Since they forced us to walk in the woods to get us to their hide out the contact with the plants triggered my allergies.

And when they noticed I was breaking out into hives and having difficulty in breathing they wanted to abandon me and leave me to die in the wilderness but she stopped them and saved me with her EpiPen.

She did not stop at that and continued to protect me in my weakened state even when she herself was injured .

Unfortunately she doesn't remember me because I attended that school with a fake name since the only reason I was studying there was to gain experience and be humble as my parents had wanted.

They also wanted me to connect with those who had less than us and see their suffering so that I can better utilize it in my election campaigns.

Yeah the perks of being born in a rich family, you are career and life trajectory is decided the moment you are born.

And it is laughable how they thought studying in the school Tia was in, is connecting with the poor , I mean the Winters family is not as rich as us but they are also not "poor" so the one day of education didn't help much anyway.

One day because we were kidn*pped the same day I joined the school .

Yeah, so much for luck.

Though I was dejected to find out Tia doesn't remember me and upon further investigation I learnt that she was too traumatized by the event and that's why she doesn't remember anything apart from the military rescuing us a week later.

She doesn't even remember the promise I made to her.

I chuckled slightly as I recalled how she was glaring at me earlier at the wedding.

I don't blame her though because with the way my mom arranged this marriage even I would hate me.

However I know it is mostly my fault, why was I so excited when I finally found her and blurted it out in front of my controlling Mom.

Don't get me wrong I love my Mom but she's the most controlling person I know .

So when I told her how ecstatic I was about finding Tia and how I wanted to court her and marry her she smiled and sent me on overseas business trip on behalf of my elder brother.

And cut to when I came back today she informs me how she arranged my marriage to Tia and how she is not going to let me be distracted during this critical election period.

And if I wanted Tia I will get Tia but on the condition that it remains a secret marriage and I pay my full attention to the election.

"What The Hell Is Wrong With You Mom?" I had shouted whilst seething with anger.

"Mind your tone young man , Dad had chided frowning as he held my hand.

I shook his hand off and walked out of the room . I wanted to call off the wedding and take back everything Mom had said to Tia and her family and undo everything she had done but I knew it will be futile and it will only make mom angrier.

Obviously she will then vent her anger on the Winters family which I didn't want so I agreed and married my breathtakingly beautiful wife with the promise to cherish her in my heart.

I had lost her once because I hadn't asked for her name and didn't see her face clearly because of the mud on our faces but after finding her again I will never let her go .

I meant it when I told her , "Not a chance."

Snap Snap!

"You have already married her so quite thinking about her now , Gina said amused whilst snapping her fingers in front of me.

I shook my head and glanced at her .

"Ok lil sis now lets go , I can't keep my wife waiting, I replied and rolled the wheel chair out of the room."

Soon we arrived at the venue and most of the guests had arrived but not Tia.

I sighed and took Gina inside .

We met up with my family and sat at the table.

I could see the impatience on Mom's face and resisted the urge to leave , I know Tia's absence is making her feel like she is losing face .

Seriously how does it matter what others think.

"Adrian I want to checkout the pool upstairs can you take me , Gina asked tentatively.

The venue is a two story building on the most expensive part of town.

"Obviously, I replied and rolled the wheelchair to the elevator.

"Adrian can you just carry me there , I want to dip my legs into the water, she asked whilst clasping the armrests of the wheelchair tightly.

"Definitely, I replied and picked her up.

I left the wheelchair and used the stairs on the other side of the hall so that she could forget about her disability for a while.

I know she is is insecure about losing her ability to walk in a car accident that cost her brother and my best friend his life.

After the accident a year ago whose effects I am still reeling from I took her under my wing and she is just like my little sister.

I took her to the pool and after soaking her feet for a while we decided to go back downstairs and so we did whilst chatting.

I was taking her to wheelchair when I felt someone approaching me .

I looked up and froze when I saw the anger plastered all over her face.
