“Of course, it’s possible, Mach,” Oscar calmly stated. “I can take a cruise. Especially when we have terrorists attacking all over the place.”
Michael’s brain stormed about that.
Shaking his head, he looked around at the rest of the passengers. “Can you all see him?”
“He’s real,” Michael’s savior said, from the side. “I talked to him yesterday. He is here with his family.”
Michael shook his head yet again, trying to find signs of Maya’s tampering. She had been in his mind, back at the school, and he wasn’t sure he had gained enough distance. He had never confirmed if going unconscious, or sleeping, would shake her off of him.
She could be there, twisting his vision and hearing. Maya had never done that, but there was no reason to assume she couldn’t.
