17.1 Hurting

Michael woke up dreadfully sick and unbelievably lost. His chest painfully convulsed and made him vomit out water. A moment later, he felt someone was holding onto him. “Ahh…” Michael looked around and did not know where he was, or who surrounded him. He did notice there were a lot of people watching him, though. “Wha…what?” His voice came out as a hoarse whisper. As Michael’s mind rallied and untangled a whole network of thoughts, he started feeling the pains in his body. Groaning, Michael allowed whoever was handling him to lie him down. He was still trying to remember what had happened. The people were glaring. Some were clearly whispering about him, but Michael couldn’t make sense of anything that they were saying.
