10 years later: It was a very cold December morning. The dome surrounding the sky kingdom prevents snow and rain, but it was cold all the same. It seemed like one of those days where licking a metal pole would get your tongue stuck for hours.
I was waiting for the princesses, the real monarchs of this society. Lucile and Evelyn are the ones I was designed for. And I hate it. But no matter how hard I try to escape, I am never able to.
Evelyn and Lucile were supposed to be at the park for another hour or so. But it wouldn't surprise me if they'd decided to come back early.
My face started twitching when I heard the door open and Evelyn entered the dining room. I half expected her to try and start dragging me around by my organs. These were already partially exposed from Lucille ripping open my stomach earlier that morning. But Evelyn usually only does this when her sister Lucile is around.
I had actually had some enjoyable tea parties with Evelyn when Lucille wasn't around. And I wondered if Evelyn really wanted to hurt me at all. But my torture is not something their parents had ever discouraged.
Evelyn tossed me a thick jacket. “I'm sorry, I don't have time to fix you before she gets back. You must go now.”
“What? Why are you helping me?”
“Please- go! You've suffered long enough! I've watched you suffer, for so long, even participated in it! I can't take it anymore! Find J17 of sector 8. She’ll help you.” I looked back once as I threw on the thick jacket and held it tightly around me. Then I did something that I'd done hundreds of times already, I jumped out the window.
Evelyn was smiling as I fell to the ground and then quickly took off running as fast as I could towards the exit of the sky kingdom. I did get hit by a car a few blocks away from the castle. This is usually where my attempts end because I'm not able to get up and eventually get handcuffed and returned to the castle by police officers.
I didn't let this car stop me this time though. I pushed through my pain, even ripped my leg off because it had gotten stuck in the car. I let out an agonizing scream of pain as blue colored blood sprayed out every, but I continued painfully on one leg until I found myself in an alley next to the elevators that led to the surface below.
I knew I had to keep pushing on through the pain, through this suffering, because if I could make it to the surface I wouldn't have to worry about Lucile ripping me open and torturing me ever again. And Evelyn wanted me to escape, my sweet beloved Evelyn who truly had never wanted to hurt me. If I failed now, she'd also suffer, believing her attempts to help me were for nothing.
I knew I'd have to hide in a crate or something because they weren't just going to let me go. I never actually go this far, so I was super scared as I frantically looked around for some crate I could hide in that was going down to the surface.
