Charlie
BEEP BEEP BEEP BE- I swipe my hand over and smash the off button on the overly obnoxious alarm clock, sighing as I rub my eyes open. 5 a.m. and it's time to get up and get my day started. I swing my legs over the edge of my bed, looking down at them they seem a bit bigger than usual. I shake my head and chalk it up to my ever worsening body dysmorphia.  Heading to the bathroom I wash my face and rub on some face cream before brushing my teeth. I then take a brush and pull through the tangles of my long pink hair, losing some dead ends in the process. I hike it up into a high ponytail and head for my closet to get out some workout shorts and a baggy t-shirt. Pulling on some socks and running shoes I begin to try and quietly open the door and tiptoe downstairs when it hits me, I live alone. I just moved out of my parents house and bought this brand new house in Beverley Hills just a few weeks ago. I was already planning on moving out here to be closer to L.A. after my career took off but my boyfriend insisted that the sooner the better. So, here I am, halfway across the country from my family and friends with only my boyfriend and agent to keep me company. Needless to say, I have a lot of alone time.  Making my way into the kitchen I grab a water bottle out of the fridge and my headphones off of the counter before heading for the door. Opening the bottle and taking a big gulp I open my phone to my home screen and pause. The screen starts flashing and flickering, I lean in closer to it and see a completely different background picture and apps. My heart skips a beat and I wonder if my phone has been hacked. Reaching my finger up to touch it, it immediately switches back to my normal screen.  Shit, I think to myself, if that was a hacker and they got any of Dylan's pictures he's going to murder me. I groan at the thought of having to explain that to the media. Dylan has a big role in a high budget Hollywood movie coming up, if any scandal gets out about him he is definitely screwed. I sit on the front marble steps outside of my door for a minute and decide to call my manager. He may be an absolute asshole sleazebag, but he did know how to do his job well. I dial his number and wait, finally he picks up on the last ring. "Charlie," he groans, obviously annoyed, "you do realize that not everyone is awake at this hour, right?" I roll my eyes, ignoring his attitude. "Brian, you do realize it's my job to call you when I have a problem, right?" I make sure to throw way more attitude back at him so he knows I'm serious. I have only and will only ever call Brian when there is absolutely no other solution. "Alright, alright, what the issue?" He groans on the other end. I take my time and explain to him about what happened with my phone and how I think it could've been hacked. "Huh, I've never heard of that happening before when someone's phone was hacked." He says while yawning. I sigh in frustration. "Can you just have someone look at it? Just to make sure?" I ask him as nicely as possible. "Yea, yea, yea," he says, getting up from his bed, "I'll come get it now, just leave it on your table and I'll pick it up while you're out on your run or something." I stand up and begin heading back inside. "Thanks Bri, you're the best!" I muster up my sweetest voice possible. "Yea whatever," he groans, "I'll see what I can do." With that, he hung up. I set my phone on the table and leave my headphones behind, my heart pounding nervously as I head back out the door, the only thing on my mind was what Dylan would do if anything personal between us was released. I take a deep breath and begin my morning jog, deciding to worry about it after Brian found something out. *** Walking back up to my door I was covered in sweat, I must've been gone for about 2 hours by now. I open the door and walk in to find Brian sitting at my table. "There you are." He sounds annoyed again. I take my shoes off and sit across from him, wiping the sweat from my brow. "Did you find anything out?" I ask him before taking a chug from my water. Brian just shakes his head. "Nope, you're in the clear. I did go ahead and get the screen replaced for you just in case though. But as far as hacking goes, there's no sign of it." He hands me back my phone and continues to ramble on about how they'll watch out for any photo leaks either way but I'm not really paying attention. I unlock the phone and stare at the home screen, slightly hoping that it happens again just to prove I'm not crazy. "Earth to Charlie." Brian waves his hand in front of my face and startles me. "Jeez kid, what is up with you," he rolls his eyes and sighs, "anyways, I talked to Dylan earlier, he said he'd take you to your shoot later today." My eyes grow wide. "Did you tell Dylan about the phone?" I ask, clenching my phone tighter in my hands. Brian shakes his head and I let out a sigh of relief. "Nah, there would be no need unless something got released." He tells me reassuringly. I nod and feel the stress leave my body. "Thank you, Brian." I tell him genuinely. He gives me a small half smile. "Sure thing kid. I do have to look out for both of you after all." He's right, Brian is also Dylan's manager. Dylan is the whole reason I met Brian in the first place. Dylan is the whole reason I have this life at all. Brian and I get up from the table and say our goodbyes. Walking up to the bathroom I decide to take a shower and get cleaned up for my photo shoot. I decide to step on the scale first before I get in and see what I'm sitting at today. At 5'8", today I am 120lbs. I sigh and step off, hoping I was going to be at 115lbs before my next shoot. Oh well, I'll have to do better next time. After showering I put on a face mask and rub myself down with various lotions when I hear my phone ding. Walking over to the counter I see that Dylan texted me. DYLAN ME: Ok, door is unlocked:) DYLAN ME: Getting there, almost ready DYLAN ME: I have my own car... I can drive myself you know DYLAN I groan and toss my phone on my bed. There are times when I like it when Dylan is overprotective, but most of the time he goes way overboard and gets on my nerves. I decide to take my time and finish up with my skincare just to piss him off when I hear to front door open and footsteps heading up to my room. "Charlie?" He calls out to me, sounding semi-annoyed. "In here!" I call back. He trudges is way into my bathroom where he finds me washing off my facemask. "You didn't answer my text." He states, sounding pissed. I look over and flash him a loving smile to try and ease his attitude. "I'm sorry, baby," I muster up the sweetest voice I can, "I was trying to get done before you got here." He runs his hand through his wavy blond hair and rolls his eyes. "Whatever." He mumbles, making his way to my bed and laying down.  Dylan may be an overprotective pain in my ass, but man he sure is pretty, standing at 6'2" with wavy blond hair and light blue eyes I don't know what girl wouldn't have a crush on him. Not to mention those cheekbones, jawline, and fit figure, I could drool over him all day. Finally done I throw on some sweats and a t-shirt since they'll be dressing me at the shoot. Dylan and I head out and he hands me a pair of sunglasses so I won't be as recognizable. Putting on a pair of his own he starts his Tesla and we head out to L.A.  Arriving at the studio I grow excited, realizing I'm working with Sebastian today. The man has a bold and unique style that somehow seems to always work with anything, not to mention he's the most laid back and fun person I've met since I got here.  Dylan and I park and walk through the parking garage and down a few blocks to get there, only getting a few glances but thankfully no one has recognized us. As we enter Sebastian's studio he lets out an overly dramatic and excited scream, letting us know he's seen us. "The love of my life has come back to grace me with her presence!" He squeals as he pulls me in for a tight hug. He pulls back and his eyes fall on Dylan who gives a courteous smile.  "I see the stalker decided to come along too." Sebastian sneers and pulls me away from Dylan and into the dressing room. He has never liked Dylan, even from the first day they met, and he makes it very obvious that he isn't welcomed here whenever he comes with me. Now back in the dressing room he begins to take clothes off of the racks and throws them over both of our shoulders. "So miss girl," he says, peaking over his mountain of clothing, "tell me how you've been! It's been way too long." He begins to make fake crying sounds and I just can't help but laugh. We trade stories of our recent shoots, meetings, and social media drama as I get my makeup done.   The shoot itself doesn't take too long and before I know it I'm hugging Sebastian goodbye and walking out the door with Dylan. We make our way back to the car in silence, I can sense that there's something bothering him. We begin to drive, but after about ten minutes I can't take the tension anymore. "Are you ok?" I ask him hesitantly. He sits there for a moment and sighs. "You're awfully close with that designer." He mumbles. My jaw drops slightly, not really believing what I just heard. "Sebastian?" I ask him in disbelief, "You know he's gay right? He wants nothing like that with me." I tell him, trying not to sound upset, but he just shrugs. "But what if you're like that with other designers when I'm not around." His voice is monotone and unfeeling. I freeze up, unsure of what exactly to say. "Dylan, I would never cheat on you. You know that." Tears prick at the corners of my eyes. How could he even think that. He just shakes his head and sighs.  "You know that's why I come along with you, its also to keep an eye on those other guys. I'm just trying to do what's best for you." He tells me sternly. I freeze up more and sink back into my seat in silence, not wanting to continue the conversation. After what seems like the longest drive of my life we finally reach my house. I turn to Dylan who seems to have relaxed. "Do you want to spend the night tonight? We can watch a movie or something." I ask him. He shakes his head and smiles at me. "Sorry baby, there's a party tonight that I need to make an appearance at. Maybe later this week." My smile fades and I feel a twinge in my heart. "Well, could I come? It sounds like fun." I ask hopefully. He looks away and sighs. "Sorry, I can't invite guests. It's a private thing you know?" He tells me. I just nod and let out a soft "ok".  He leans over and grabs me by my cheeks, kissing me hard and long. "I'll text you later, let me know if you go anywhere, ok?" He tells me. I nod and get out of the car, walking up the steps of my house as I watch him drive away.  The tears begin to fall slowly as I enter the kitchen, grabbing my headphones off of the counter. As I reach my bedroom and fall into my bed I am uncontrollably sobbing. I plug in my headphones and put them in, just wanting to listen to some sad music and cry myself to sleep when all of the sudden I hear a very annoyed voice. "Dude! Hey! Can you hear me? Can you please stop crying?"  The voice yells at me, it sounds like a boy's voice. I stop sobbing and begin to listen, thinking I was just hearing things. "Jesus christ, thank you. All I wanted was to listen to music and I get a loud, crying girl instead." He says again, obviously still annoyed. So I'm not crazy and there is definitely someone talking.  "What in the... who are you?" I ask hesitantly, still worried about the possibility of hackers. The voice groans in frustration on the other end. "You've got to be kidding, all I wanted was some music." Like a switch  the voice clicks off and I am left with my phone in my hand, wondering who that voice belonged to and if I was really losing my mind.
