I was just a kid when I found him—an injured wolf hiding deep in the forest, barely conscious. I didn’t know he was from a powerful northern pack, or that he wasn’t just any wolf.
He shifted back into a boy—older than me, bloodied and furious—and looked me dead in the eye.
“I’ve decided,” he said. “One day, I’ll make you my mate.”
I thought he was just trying to be tough.
I laughed it off. I was a rogue—no family, no pack, nothing to offer. Who would ever want someone like me?
But years passed, and that boy became Alpha Rowan—the cold, obsessive Alpha of the strongest northern pack.
And he hadn’t forgotten me.
After years of wandering, I was taken in by a small, peaceful pack. Their Alpha was kind and steady. He said I was his mate. He said he loved me. For the first time, I felt safe—and maybe even wanted.
The day I was meant to marry him, Rowan came.
He tore through the ceremony, nearly killed my would-be mate, and threw me over his shoulder like I belonged to him.
“I told you. You’re mine.”
He took me to a hidden villa deep in his territory, far from the eyes of his pack. No one knew I was there. He said we were meant to be—even without the Moon Goddess’s mark.
I tried to leave. I tried to fight back.
So he brought in someone else.
Maria. A she-wolf who looked just like me. A replacement. A copy.
She wore his crest. Smiled at his side. Played the part of Luna while I was kept hidden. But it wasn’t enough for her.
She found me. Broke into the villa. And in her jealousy, she snapped.
“You think hiding here makes you special?” she hissed. “You’re just a rogue pretending to be something you’re not.”
She hit me. Took away my clothes. Locked me in with no food for days. She wanted to break me.
By the time Rowan came, I was barely holding on.
Maria dragged me out to him, proud and smiling.
“That rogue used a spell to look like me and sneak into your life,” she said sweetly. “Don’t worry—I killed her for you, my Alpha.”
