I wandered around the pack house trying to comfort the families of the scouts who were killed earlier this week. We held the funerals for the scouts today and it was the first time I had seen Ethan or my dad since the incident. I stood beside my dad at the funerals and felt so proud of the way Ethan held himself when he conducted the services. My heart was ready to burst from my chest with the overwhelming love that I had for my mate. I just needed to let him know how I was feeling before anything else was going to happen. Once the services were done I approached Ethan to tell him that I was ready for him marking me and to tell him I loved him. As I approached him He must have caught my scent as his back went stiff before turning slowly to meet me. " Ethan, can I talk to you for a minute?"
