“What did you find out about the higher council and the hunters?” Blanchette asks, changing the subject.
“That they fear Prehistoric, and they have specifically altered normal human beings DNA in the embryo stage to make them hunters of Vampires. They get conditioned then from birth to recognize and react to the scent of a prehistoric vampire,” Lee says, finishing up with the dishes.
“How many are there?” Blanchette asks.
“I am not sure. I ran into trouble and had to get out of there,” Lee says, taking a seat at the table, across from Blanchette.
“What else can you tell me about them?” Blanchette asks, eager for more information.
“They cannot be compelled, and their strength becomes that of the Vampire they touched plus their own, making them stronger than a vampire,” Lee says.
