I’m nervously playing with my fingers under the table while sitting across from Jack in a small cocktail bar at the beach. Under normal circumstances, this place would be romantic, but Amy bombing the date makes this everything but romantic. I don’t know how I am going to spend a whole night in Aiden’s company and not give away anything. I have never been good at hiding my feelings or emotions. I’m pretty much an open book. Jack tries to make small talk by asking about my day, “It was busy as usual. Things are starting to pick up after the New Year rush. Most companies are open again. How about your side? I bet you get super busy during the holidays. Do you ever get down times?”
