Rogan.
I gripped Sadie’s mom with both hands, trying to figure out what the f**k we were going to do. Vincent surely wouldn’t have called us out here unless he had a plan.
How were we going to get past the vampire Father? Vincent had said that he was so strong he could rip us in half before we realized he’d moved.
So why hadn’t he already?
Was he savoring our demise?
And then the reason he hadn’t already killed us came to light. “Put the witch down and step away,” he said, looking straight at me.
He wants Sadie’s mom safe.
“No.” Sadie said, stepping in front of her mother. “You’ve had her long enough. I want her back.”
He chuckled, the sound as ominous and poisonous as I could imagine.
