THE SURPRISE

Liya's P.O.V

It was 6:30 p.m. when we had a knock on the door, it mustn't be dad because he arrives home at 7:00 p.m. The servant opened the door and asked who the person came to visit? I heard a sweet voice saying she is here to visit me, it didn't took a second for me to guess that it was Lucy. Why the heck on earth she is here? The servant came to me to the couch where I was sitting with Jim and Robet discussing, how to give dad a surprise for his birthday. Though I didn't want to discuss it, even Robet too didn't want to invite me  but Jim forced me to join them.

"Who is she, Liya?" Robet asked. "She is my friend! I will ask her to visit tomorrow in school" I said hoping that they agree. I found both Jim and Robet staring each other for a second and then both together asked the servant to let Lucy get in. I sat down and hit my head with my hand....Lucy entered the house and gave me a wide smile, I stood up and gave her a hug, "think you both are too close!" Robet said. Lucy and Robet had a hand shake then Lucy said "yes, we are! She is my best friend!". Jim kept his elbow on my shoulder, smirked at me and said "sorry, she never said us!" I was about to take Lucy to my room but dad arrived. He entered the house and asked the details about Lucy, like her name etc. She greeted him very politely giving him respect. Dad saw me, Robet and Jim for few second...What the hell is he thinking?

From no where he turned to me and said "you have a good taste...Good job!" By this we siblings understood what he wanted to say, actually Jim's and Robet's friends just burst into the house and don't show any respect towards dad. Then I was again trying to take her to my room but she gave an idea saying "what if we play truth and dare, with your whole family? What say?" I was about to refuse but everyone standing there agreed to do so. We all sat down and started playing the game, It was going good until Lucy asked my dad a question when he chose 'truth'. She asked him "if you have a choice to kill anyone from your family then whom would you kill?"

He didn't even took a second and replied "obviously it is Liya, after all I always wanted to do so!" I froze for five minutes and tears escaped my eyes, I know he hates me but never thought he wanted to kill me! After saying his words he stood up and walked to his room, Robet was the second to leave. Seeing that dad don't even cares what I feel Lucy hugged me tight, Jim stood up and walked to the kitchen for first I felt he left me too like Robet and dad. But later I saw him bringing a glass of water, he handed me the glass of water and after I took a sip and kept the glass on the table he hugged me asking that was I okay. Actually I wasn't in a shock because he usually gets pity on me, then Lucy asked me "what's the matter with him?" Before I reply for her question Jim said everything to her from my birth date... Actually not everything just some incidents. She saw me in a shock and apologized I said her while smiling "Hey dude what was your surprise?" She gave me a box wrapped with gift wrapper and then left the house saying bye to me and Jim. After she left Jim gave me a side hug.

I and Jim opened the box and saw a beautiful locket and a key as the pendant. "She was wearing the lock pendant right?" he asked and I nodded to him. Then he said me to wear it too and I wore it. He gave me a hi five and we went to our rooms to rest....After going to my room I laid down for half an hour, then I started packing a bag for the camp and went to bed early.

The next morning I woke up, said bye to everyone and arrived school early, there were just three students today Lucy, Joe and Matt. I greeted them and sat on my seat, They were sitting on the last bench, Matt and Joe were helping Lucy understand how to build a tent. BUT HELL DUDE! It was the third time and she still couldn't understand. I stood up and walked towards them and said "dear Lucy, I know how to do it, stop asking it again and again.... I will build your tent too!" She gave me a smile and asked me "are you angry on me for yesterday?" "Yes I am angry but not for yesterday I am angry for now..How can someone not understand how to build a tent, after hearing the process for three times?" I said acting to feel disgusted. then all of us laughed...Other students also joined us and we travelled in the bus to the place we were going for the camp.  Matt and Lucy were fighting on the whole way... Joe and I shared our hobbies and had fun.

The moments of happiness 

we enjoy take us by surprise.
