FINAL EXAMS

I had to write five exams and was already done with one today. I arrived home, took a quick shower, not wanting to waste my time. Then I had my lunch and went to my room to study. It was easy for us to study on a video call, rather than visiting one's house. We decided to learn for two hours on our own and then join the meeting. I had no time to roam in the house or focus on something else... I studied for two hours and then joined the meeting, all of us one by one cleared our doubts with each other..... We studied till 9.45 pm, I was hungry now I asked for taking a break. All of them took a break long time back, but I didn't feel to do so. I went downstairs and took a pack of the biscuit from the kitchen cupboard and walked back to my room. Dad, Jim, and Robet were watching television when I took out the pack. None of them stop me to sit and watch television with them because of two reasons. First, I had my exams and I was preparing for them. Second, they never do so... I sat down and opened the pack, when I took the first bite from my first biscuit Joe said, "I am done with the twelfth topic". I shouted at him "what the heck? When did you start the twelfth topic and how did you finish it so soon!" Matt laughed and said, "We took the chance of doing this when you took a break!" I was boiling with anger when Lucy said to me "don't worry! I was waiting for you, so let's start learning it. And if they even think of moving to another topic I will punch them." I laughed and then we started learning the topic.
Finally, at 11.00 pm we ended the meeting. I went down to have my dinner. Thank god that at least the food wasn't finished or kept in the refrigerator... After having my dinner I walked towards Jim's room to see what he was doing. I knocked on the door then entered as he didn't say anything. He was working on his project, I sat on the corner of his bed and asked "so when are you going to sleep?" He stressfully smiled and said, "after finishing this!" he pointed on his laptop's screen. I nodded and started walking out of his room. I then thought to go and see what Robet is doing, though I knew it will be nasty but as I had nothing to do, so why not giving it a try?... When I peeked in his room, he was explaining someone the same thing I just learned. and as I remember it was the seventh topic. I chuckled! And luckily he didn't hear me as he was wearing earphones. I silently stepped in and saw whom he was talking with. Huh! for god's sake is he teaching Amenda! Like seriously, I walked out of the room and started laughing.

I wrote all my exams, and today I was going to know my result. I was excited and worried at the same time, I got fresh, changed my dress, and tied my hair into a ponytail. After that, I took a deep, relaxing breath and marched out of my room. When I reached down I saw burgers, pastries, and glasses filled with orange-flavored juice. Yummy! I asked a servant what was going on. She smiled and said "Mr.Thomas invited some of his employees to meet." oh! I went to the car and sat in it. The driver drove to the school...I saw Joe, Matt, and Lucy who were already waiting for me. I hugged them all. And we stepped inside the school... Thank God we all passed with the best grades! "We achieved our success!" screamed Lucy, "not yet!" said Matt. I turned to him and raised my brow, after that he continued "we have to prepare for the interview which is just after two days!" All of us nodded making our faces dull...
I went home and ran to Jim's room. He saw my facial expression and easily understood that, yeah I did it! He gave me a hi-five and I asked him "where is dad?" He gave me a wide smile and said "he was really worried for you so after having his meeting with his employees, rather than going to the office he went to church!" I was shocked. Like really does my father really have a heart? I friendly punched him and started walking to my room. I found Robet dumbfounded standing near my room. I walked towards him and asked, "what happened?" he stared at me for a while and left. FOOL!...
I heard dad shouting "where is Liya?", I ran downstairs. He looked extremely worried! I walked to him and said my result. He hugged me! HE REALLY HUGGED ME!! I surprisingly saw him. He gave me a wide smile and said "I am proud of you!" This is the best day of my life...
Dad was so happy that he asked me what I want as a gift for this achievement. I asked him that can I have a night out with my friends. This time he agreed. I wore a golden glittered dress, it's length was above my knees, it had a v-neck and tassels Sleeves. I let my hair open, wore long earrings, and applied makeup...It was really a fun full night with my dear friends. I never thought my life will give me an awesome gift like this!!!
We had a lot of fun and returned home. I changed my dress and slept. Have to work on my interview tomorrow. . . .
There's more to life than passing exams,
and paper qualifications can only take you so far.
A lot depends on luck,
and on being in the right place at the right time,
