CHAPTER-12 TRIP TO LUCERNE Liya's P.O.V  A day passed since we arrived here in Lucerne! This city in Switzerland is beautiful. To be honest I got to know its name when we landed here. I still couldn't believe its truth. The last day when we arrived at my aunt's home she asked us to rest as much as possible because she was damn sure that once we started our plans for shopping, eating and dancing in clubs we will for sure be late at home and can't have a good sleep. I was suddenly interrupted by my thoughts when Lucy jumped on my back. "OUCH!!" I screamed as it hurt me. She looked at me then said "stop acting in that way and get ready as we are leaving in one hour." then she walked out for getting herself ready too. I walked to the bathroom and took a shower and then wore my pink skirt with big white spots on it. And a blue collared shirt with full sleeves, I wore my the silver earrings which were star-shaped and combed my hair and tied it into a braid. Then I applied light makeup and walked down to the boys who were shouting again and again that they will get late because of me and Lucy. "Thank God that you are finally here! Hope that Lucy gets down soon." Matt said seeing me in relief. Jim gave me a wide smile, hugged me, and said "you look, awesome sister!" A few seconds later when he freed me from his grip Joe said "of course she looks awesome, actually awesome is a small word for her." I blushed when he said those words..... After ten to fifteen minutes finally, Lucy walked out of her room then asked all of us present in the living room "how do I look?" Then one by one everyone praised her, Jim too. He was behaving normally but still, I knew that it was getting harder for him day by day... We sat in Lucas's BMW (car) and drove for our destiny. Lucas is my auntie's son who was in Spain. He is working in a company that I don't know. So auntie handed us his car and it is useful for us! All of us were enjoying the trip, trip to Lucerne. Lucy felt tired so she kept her head on my shoulder and slept. She must be tired as she didn't rest at all, she was just talking to auntie about something or the other. * * * * * * It was a long way to Glacier Garden, the place there we decided to visit first is the Lion monument. It's really beautiful! "The Lion Monument, or the Lion of Lucerne, is a rock relief in Lucerne, Switzerland, designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen and hewn in 1820–21 by Lukas Ahorn. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris. It is one of the most famous monuments in Switzerland, visited annually by about 1.4 million tourists. In 2006 it was placed under Swiss monument protection. Mark Twain praised the sculpture of a mortally wounded lion as 'the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world'. " Said a man who was standing back of us. We loved that place! We took some pictures and then left for Chapel Bridge...... It took us some time to reach there. Joe searched about it on the internet then said to us "The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden footbridge spanning the river Reuss diagonally in the city of Lucerne in central Switzerland. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel, the bridge is unique in containing several interior paintings dating back to the 17th century, although many of them were destroyed along with a larger part of the centuries-old bridge in a 1993 fire. Subsequently restored, the Chapel Bridge is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe, as well as the world's oldest surviving truss bridge. It serves as the city's symbol and as one of Switzerland's main tourist attractions." All of us saw each other in surprise... "WOW," I screamed. Everyone turned to see me I felt a bit guilty at that moment. After visiting the place we went to a restaurant named 'Rathaus Brauerei' and had our lunch there.  Then we decided to go to a mall named 'Vanetta AG Luzern', there we bought some clothes and then drove to the 'Brooklyn Club & Lounge' it was a club, and there we enjoyed a lot...... After having some fun we reached home late at night. We changed our dresses into comfortable nightdresses then sat with auntie and said her everything that happened with us. She said she will come with us tomorrow, where ever we are going. Then she went to sleep, as soon as she left we all sat down and watched a movie...It was 3:00 a.m. when we went into our rooms to sleep. * * * * * The next morning we woke up at 11:30 a.m. too late right? I know! We had our breakfast and then left for enjoying our day. first, we visited the 'Swiss Museum of Transport', from there we visited the 'Spreuer Bridge' it was fantastic! And after that, we visited the best place of all 'Hofkirche St. Leodegar'. It is a church which was built a long-long ago. Auntie said us about its history that didn't just fit in my small brain! .... From there we decided to get back home and have our lunch. A few minutes later when we reached home, Lucy and I helped auntie to prepare food, and Joe, Matt, and Jim arranged the table...After having lunch we all went to our respective rooms for having our time. I took out my mobile and started watching the 'Jonas Brothers' (the Disney show). I recently started watching it and I loved it. Then I walked to Lucy's room to check what was she doing. . . People don't take trips,  trips take people. . . {A short proverb based on the episode.}
