Alpha Ralph’s POV “Why did you send her to the dungeon?” Octavia asked, her brows raising a little. Something she has always done when she is curious about finding out something. “Nothing you should be worried about,” I answered, feeling the fire raising in my heart. I wonder why Myra has to always make it hard for me in punishing her. “But I want to know,” Octavia whined, pushing herself onto the table, even though she knows she shouldn’t. I breathe in, holding it in because I have been pissed off by Myra, and now, Octavia wants to make me angry. “No, and it is final,” I affirmed. I pushed her hand away from the table, picking one of the documents there. I began to go through them, ignoring Octavia’s eyes that followed each of my movements. I finished with the first one, yet she didn’t move nor say anything and said happened to me, I only kept reading the documents that were on my table, marking those that needs urgent attention until I was done. “Now, can you tell me?” Octavia asked. I will never find peace in this house today if I don’t tell her. “Okay, I will.” I looked up to her, a smile was on her face as she waited for me to tell her. “Myra met with the pack seer earlier right.” I started and she nodded her head at me. “Well, the guards said they saw Myra at the sacred garden.” I ended. The sacred garden isn’t allowed as free access to anyone due to the meaning it has to me. I don’t even step inside it, because it reminds me of memories I had long time buried. There are things that we prefer when they stay a secret, despite the world knowing it when it had happened but they had forgotten about it. I would have also forgotten about it if it doesn’t mean anything to me. But I cherish it more than anything. “I knew it, something was off when the pack seer spoke to her. I feel like the pack seer had ordered her to get her one of the sacred flowers.” Octavia uttered. “Don’t.” I stopped her. Even though it can be what had happened, she is in no place to doubt the pack seer and says such a thing about her. I can’t allow any disrespect to the pack seer. “But it is true. We both know that it is.” She tried to argue it out. I gave her a look, and I am sure she would have gotten the message it was trying to pass. “Don’t judge when you didn’t see it, Octavia. It can through you in a pit of problems.” I warned. No matter how much I love her as a sister and also, as the lady that my heart loves, I can’t stop from telling her the truth. The world would blame me if she doesn’t do as supposed. “But…” She started but I waved my hands, stopping her midways. “No Octavia. We both know that I said the truth so don’t try to push it.” I uttered. A huff came out of her lips because she walked away. I heaved a sigh, Octavia would always be the death of me. “What made her so angry?” Beta Floyd asked walking into the room. I shook my head at him. “Octavia will always be herself,” I told him and he laughed it off. Beta Floyd had come into the pack when he was just six years old, he proved to the pack that he was worthy of being the Alpha. He did everything that showed the world he is the best candidate to stay by the side of the Alpha and he has never been disappointed. “Did you find out what Myra was doing at the sacred garden?” I asked him. “Oh yes. The guard said she plucked out the red raspberry leaf.” He informed. Red raspberry leaf has a lot of benefits so why she did go for it? When there is a lot that she could have gone for? “Do you think she is pregnant?” The moment the words rolled out of my lips, I laughed at it. There is no way that she is pregnant when I can count the times that we have shared a bed and I can say, it won’t be enough for her to get pregnant. It is very much impossible. “What if she is?” “Because she can’t be. It is impossible.” Beta Floyd shrugged his shoulders, taking a seat. “I will say we check and see. The pack doctor will be the judge of that.” He suggested. Immediately, a guard was called in and sent to call in the pack doctor. “Oh, did I miss to tell you? The pack doctor has gone to the community center to attend to some patients that need urgent care.” Beta Floyd informed. The community center was published to punish those that made mistakes and have regretted doing it. They do have doctors there but not as as qualified the pack doctor. “Just go,” I whispered to the guard who was just standing, waiting for me to give him the go-ahead and call the pack doctor. “Did you? Just make sure he gets here as soon as he is back.” “Okay then.” Together with Bet Floyd, we went through the documents. “Alpha Liam is still on his terms and it seems like he doesn’t want to back down.” I laughed at it, reading the content of the document. Alpha Liam had just proved how much of a clown he is. “He is still making updrafts of contracts that don’t make any sense. I can’t sign to any of these terms or does he thinks I am stupid enough to do that?” I shoved the document to Beta Floyd. The side of his lips twitched, of course. “I know I have to let you see this, for the good laugh.” He joked and we took another go at it. Maybe I should send Alpha Liam a warning to keep him off my back for a while.
