Setting up a plan

Zecel told me and Petra to meet in his office to talk about the plan for our mission.

As we entered his office other people were present as well. Sindra smiled at us:” Welcome Petra and Aya, let me introduce you to your team members.”

She pointed at a girl with a short pixie cut and piercings “This is Lane, she is as cursed one and has the ability to cloak herself and others. With her invisible cloak no demon can smell or sense you.”

“Hey guys” she waved at us.

“Next in line is Rick he is a blessed one and has the ability to create light, which comes in handy to blind demons or help us to see in the dark.”

“What’s up?” he greeted.

“Last but not least Michele a blessed one with the ability to compress air that she can use as a weapon. Her gift allows her to cut through demons like butter only with air.”

“Welcome” she said.

My mouth hung open. So many amazing people with amazing gifts and much more experience than I had, gathered in one room.

“Of course Zecel and I will lead this mission.” Sindra continued and turned to the other ones.

She pointed at Petra “This beautiful young lady is called Petra, she is a cursed one and has fire abilities. She will burn you all to crisps if you get on her nerves. I know what I am talking about, trust me” she winked at Petra.

Petra nodded at them and Sindra continued “This woman here is Aya and she is the reason for this mission, She worked at the brothel and was very dear to our brother Zacel. Her ability is a bit more complicated to explain. Basically, she is able to form her own energy and do nearly everything with it. She is able to shoot the energy like a bullet or use other elements such as water, coat it with her energy and control it. Furthermore she is not really a cursed one nor a blessed one.”

The others stared at me and I showed them my palm, to make them understand Sindras words.

Rick was the first one to move forward and inspecting my palm.  “Wow that’s so cool.”

We all stopped talking as Zecel entered the room.

“Welcome team. First of all I want to show you the strategy of this operation. Afterwards we will have a training session, which should help you to work as a team and prepare you for the mission tomorrow. Everything clear?”

“Yes sir.” We said in union.

“Good, this plan in front of you was drawn by Aya and includes every exit and room in the building. According to Aya, Castor the pimp of the brothel has five guards, one stationed at the entrance here” he pointed on the plan  “one at the back door and the other three one per level” he pointed out the positions of the remaining guards.

 “Do you want to continue Aya?”

“Yes sir. This building has three floors with ten private rooms for the s*x workers and two playrooms per level. Furthermore there is a huge bathroom on each level. Normally every prostitute has her own room, which means that Castor has about thirty girls in total plus one or two slaves who clean up the messes the clients make. Some of them are humans without any powers and some are half- bloods. Sometimes Castor buys factor Z, which means that some of the victims might be high.”

 Thinking about my first mission which had gone wrong completely and about the future where Jax and his producers won’t be able to sell their drugs anymore I continued “these people are my friends so please be careful and try to save them.”

They all nodded and Zecel said: “Our mission includes the rescue of every single slave within these walls and the execution of Castor. As you already know the contracts will turn to ashes after the demon dies. If there is a contract with validation beyond death you will have to use “Protocol Alpha” For all of you, who don’t know what this protocol is: in some circumstance’s contracts include a transfer after death to another demon for example. In this case the human isn’t free and still bound to a demon, which means that we can’t trust this particular human with any sensitive information. Blindfold him or her and bring the person back. He or she will stay under guard until we get our hands on the new contract owner and free the human in question. Understood?”

“Yes sir.”

As far as I knew such contracts weren’t that common, because it took the consent of the current owner, the future owner and the slave. Most of the time the future owner wont sign because he will receive damaged or old “goods” in the future. Buying young slaves or making them sign before turning sixteen was common practice and ensured receiving unspent slaves. If a demon gets killed his slaves normally become outlawed and have to fight for their own survival. Some find benevolent new masters but most die of hunger or get killed by demons.

Next Zecel showed us the equipment for this trip. “This piece will be placed inside your ears. It is a communication device which helps us to stay in contact. Furthermore, every one of you will receive combat wear and a multi-functional belt, which includes a knife, some sleeping gas, a rope, a small first aid kit, water and a small pack of dried meat if one of you gets lost or something. The combat suit was made out of really resistant material and should be able to withstand high temperatures and smaller cuts, like the ones demon claws sometimes leave behind.”

“Zecel what about my wings, are they able to unfold in this suit? Normally the t shirts always rip at my back when they appear.”

“Wait what wings?” Michele asked.

“Good question Aya, yes you will be able to use your wings without limitations. Michele you will see it with your own eyes soon. The training starts in ten minutes.”
