Double the Trouble

"My name is James, can i be honored with with you name?" he asks. I could feel my previous statement hurt him. "Kassandra Kane" i say into his chest. it feels right. How can it feel so right to be called Mate by these to guys. " Well Kassandra please tell me why you are crying." he guides me to the table chair and sits next to me holding my hands in one of his and using his free hand to wipe my tears. i took a deep breathe and began my story. i could feel the anger build in him as tell him about Elias and what had just had happened before coming down stairs. "Kassandra, i am so sorry." he says trying to comfort me. "Please call me Kass." i say not really liking the use of my full name. He smiles softly for a second then fades. "Kassandra!" i could hear Elias yell. I instantly felt hurt by the amount of comfort i feel by him saying my name.

James stood up and stepped in front of me holding me behind his back."Mine." James said and heard Elias growl. "No, mine." Elias retorted. " That's not what Kass told me." James taunted. Elias growled a deep guttural growl. "She is my MATE James, step aside or it's war." Elias threats. " She is my mate, and i would gladly fight for her." James said and thats when it hits me. i stand up and yell as loud as i could. "Stop!"

Both men snap their attention to me as i walk in between them. "Something isn't right here. The Mood Goddess is only supposed to give us one mate, one other half, why do you both feel and claim me?" i ask and it hits both of them confusion and hurt washes over everyone. we stand in our little triangle staring at each other what feels like forever before i get really dizzy and start wobble. "Elias..." i whisper before the world goes black again.

*Elias POV*

I can believe i found my mate. i say smiling fondly over the sleeping girl in the hospital bed. She is the most beautiful girl i have ever laid my eyes on. she starts to stir and grumble. her eyes shoot open and she starts try and it up. i lay my hand on her chest and slowly put back into the bed. " Lay down, you need to rest, Doc is on her way." i say softly trying to comfort her,knowing what is happening to her parents. She looks at me confused and it hurts me deeply. "Who are you?" she asks. "I am Elias Axton, Alpha of the Shadow pack." i say confidently i explain to her what happened in the woods and she gets increasingly more worried. just then Doc walked in with Ronny the newest nurse here at the pack clinic. The second he steps into the room he steps between me and Kassandra  and i can feel the rage build inside of me. next thing i know I'm seeing red and hes up on the wall apologizing. " Alpha, respectfully, can you set him down? I need him to check her vitals as i inform her of the situation." i hear Doc say and i take a deep breath and set him down. i ignore Doc talking doing nothing but staring at this guy that is putting his hands on my mate. next thing i know Ronny is leaving and Doc is telling us that she will be all good by morning and that she needs plenty of rest. she starts to cry as Doc informs her about the condition her parents are in. i could feel my heart break for her and pick her up in my arms. Kassandra has the most beautiful eyes i have ever seen. Her left eye is electric blue and her right one emerald green. Hair is the blackest black color with this silver highlights. How i wish to see her eyes without tears in them again. I walk her out of the clinic and to the pack house that it isn't to far away. she keeps her face hidden in my chest crying those beautiful eyes out.

I walk into the house and head up straight to the 4th floor that contains only my room and other empty rooms. i set her on my bed and she just looks up confused." where am I?" she asks. "This is my room, you will stay here. lay down and get some rest." i say helping her lay down on the bed. "Why are you being so nice to me?" she asks " I mean you are the Alpha, you don't need to personalty watch over me yourself. I am not that important." she continued. "Don't speak like that you are my everything and the most important person in the world to me, You are my mate and  would never let another person take care of you." I said defensively honestly hurt by these words.

Suddenly the Door slams open and Rebecca comes flying through. she screams my name and jumps on me landing a kiss on me and before i could push her off Kassandra is already gone. i  manage to get her off of me remembering that her an i had plans to spend the night. guilt and hurt and rage wash over me. "Becca leave" i demand pointing at the door. "Elias? Whats wrong we talked about this yesterday."  she asked me confused. "That girl is my mate. We are done, don't come here again." i demand and she starts crying and ran out. i take a step to go find my mate when i get a call from Doc. "whats going on Doc?" i ask  "get her here quick i have good and bad news." she says and then hangs up. i rush down staris to see James there comforting my mate. I growl loudly as a warning to him. His father will be hearing about this. " Mine" i say "No, mine" he says sending me over the edge in anger. "She is my MATE James, step aside or it's war." i say it and i mean it. 

" She is my mate, and i would gladly fight for her."  he says i can feel my wolf about to come out. "Stop" i hear her yell and i can't help but listen to my mate i just want to comfort her. "Something isn't right here. The Mood Goddess is only supposed to give us one mate, one other half, why do you both feel and claim me?" she asks and she brings up a good. point. i wonder if this has any thing to do with why Doc called. "Elias.." i hear her whisper and i rush over to her and she falls into my arms.

i look as James and he looks hurt but concerned and we run to Doc. She doesn't wake the entire time. James clears the way through and i get her to the closets bed. "Doc!" i yell and she comes running in. "What happened? " she asked examining her quickly. "Elias was trying to say my mate was his and she fainted." James says and i growl. "She's my mate!" i scream at him. He puffs his chest up and I am ready to attack. " Both of you stop it! Alpha James i am going to have to ask you to leave. I must talk our Alpha alone about this matter." Doc says gesturing to Kassandra and her self. He sighs in defeat and gives me a lethal look.  

"Alpha i was examining her blood work and she has two different blood types."  Doc says and i look at her confused. "What do you mean Doc?" i ask very confused. "Our dear Kassandra here is a chimera." she says as Kassandra starts to wake.
