Two in One

Elias makes me feel safe and secure but there is still apart of me that reaches for James. Being held by him did hurt but I need to be held and he didn’t just bluntly kiss me with out my consent. It felt like he truly cared and no matter how happy I and Alex were, Jessica was screaming and fighting. I literally feel like I am being torn in half. The tears from all the pain and confusion just flowed out and onto his shirt. He held me tight and I just need to unbottle everything that has happened in the past two days. A knock came to the door and Elias got up to answer it. James stood there and he looks a mix of guilty, sad, and angry. “The priestess is here and is in your office Elias.” He says coldly. “Okay, we will meet you in there in a few minutes.” Elias says shutting the door and turning back to me. He moves closer and wipes the tears from my face. “Smile Kass, we are going to get this all figured out soon.” I took a few deep breaths and wiped my face with the sleeve of my jacket. “Let’s go.” I say standing up and adjusting my clothes. We walked out into the hall and I follow Elias closely to his office. No one was in the halls and there were no sounds coming out of any the rooms we passed. It didn’t take long for us to make it down the hall to Elias’ office. He opens the door and James is sitting on the couch and the is a very hippy looking women sitting next to him. They are sitting in silence and from the frustrated look on James face she hadn’t had talked the entire time. “Welcome Priestess, thank you for coming on such short notice.” Elias said and she smiled brightly. “Of course, Alpha, anything to help. What is it you need…” she starts to ask but stops suddenly when her eyes fell on me. “Child, The Moon Goddess has said a lot about you.” Elias moves me to his desk chair and the Priestess sits across in a similar chair. “What do you mean?” I ask and her concerned look get worse. “Child you have two wolf souls inside you. One is yours, the other a twin that had never detached.” She says “Are you saying I have my twin still attached to my body physically?” I ask and she nods. “It is the reason you have two different DNA strands and her soul inside of your head. Her blood flows through you and so her conscious is inside you while she in connected to you. If the doctor can find the growth and remove it, we can perform a ceremony to lead Jessica into the afterlife so they can finally be at piece together.” She explained and a glimmer came over me. “NO!” James stood up and yelled. “We can’t kill off my mate there has to be another way.” James followed a little more calmly. “Well you can share the child. Both of you can mate her and you guys can merge your packs into one.” She offered and James was only slightly happier with that one. “What about the pain?” I ask she looks confused. “When I am being held by one of them it feels like I am being torn in half.” I say makes wild gestures with my arms. “Well my advice would be that the three of you need to get along and get the wolves to be at peace knowing that everyone gets their mate. The fighting amongst the men the more tension between Alexis and Jessica. We wouldn’t want that to happen to you like the one before you.” She says and that last sentence brings back more confusion. “What do you mean the one before?” I ask and she had a sudden realization. “They should be the ones to tell you that story. If you need anything of me or of the Moon Goddess, you can visit me anytime.” She then just gets up and leaves. I turn face both James and Elias who are on opposite sides of the couch. “What story is she talking about?” I ask and Elias took a deep breath. “A couple hundred of years ago our packs got into a huge war over girl that was mated to both Alphas. Alphas could not get along and it literally torn their mate apart. They blamed each other for the mate’s death and packs have been fight ever since.” “Till recently, our father decided that it was time to make peace. They said that the good of the pack should come before the good the Alpha.” James said. “So, we can do the surgery and ceremony and we don’t have to worry about me being torn apart or the packs going back into a war.” I say. “No, not an option.” James said “Why?” I ask confused “Because that is my mate you will be killing!” he yelled.  I jumped back a bit surprised by the sudden hostility. “Stop it James it is her body and It is her choice.” Elias says trying to defend me. “Easy for you to say! Your mate isn’t being killed off!” James shouted back. Both stood and the shouting match got worse. The more they yelled the higher the pain got. Alex and Jess were yelling and battling in my head with as much veracity and Elias and James were. I couldn’t help but crawl under the desk and push my hands as hard as I could on the sides of my head. I didn’t even know the desk was lifted off me till they were both kneeling beside me. “Kass!” someone was yelling. Everything had calmed down and the sharp pain was replaced by a dull sourness. I sit up exhausted and looked between the two boys hoping they can see the anger on my face. “What is wrong with you two?” I practically yell. “She just gets done saying that the cause of the pain is the fighting and your solution is to fight?” they both look down in shame. “This is my choice and the thought of killing my sister hurts, but I think it’s the only option I have.” I say trying to stand but not doing it so well. They try to help me, and I wave them off. “I don’t need your help; you are the reason I am in this pain. I need to think things over.” I say limping towards the door. “Please, we can make this work. I am just scared for my mate.” James begs on his hands and knees. “I with think about it.” I say and walk out of the door. A familiar sensation came over me and my vision began to fade as I lost my balance. I wake up in the familiar room I have woken up in twice now. Elias was by my side holding my hand to his face and James was doing the same on the other side. I look at them and smile. Yes, I was still mad at them but the warm feeling of them getting along felt good. “Do you guys think we could actually get along?” They looked at me with huge smile glad to know I was okay. “Yes, we had the contract of the pack merge signed yesterday.” Elias said. “You have been out for 3 days. We were worried so we decided to get along and learn to all be mates for your health.” James says. “We just have a few matters that we need to discuss involving you.” Elias says and I try to shake off the groggy feeling. “Hit me.” I say and they looked concerned. “Are you sure you just woke up for a 3-day coma?” James asks and I nod. “Yes, they faster we get this sorted the less time I will spend in this hospital.” I give them the best smile I could muster. “Okay, first thing is sleeping arrangements. Would you want to share with us or have your own?” Elias asks. I know I want my own, but I would also love to sleep next to them but doubt they would crawl in bed together and I would hate the hassle of moving stuff between rooms on a set schedule. “I will do my own for now and we can make changes as need be.” I say and they both look disappointed yet happy. “Would you want to sanction days/times to spend with one person or just constant double dates?” James asks “Easy, some date we do can be the three of us, but we can schedule alone time.” I say and this pleases them both. “Now this kind of awkward but when it comes to the mating ceremony the three of us will have to do it together, would you want it all to be like that or…?” Elias asks clearly blushing. I can feel my face getting hot “I don’t know I have never had s*x before.” I say trying to hide my face. The doctor walked in and cut our conversation short. “Kass you are good to go home. Your changing ceremony is tonight and I believe you can handle the change just fine."
